Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Lahore

Welcome to Lahore. On arrival, make your own way to our start hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure, and dinner is included this evening.

  • Day 2

    Exploring Lahore

Today, we explore Lahore, beginning at the Shahi Hammam, a Mughal-era bathhouse. We also take in the Wazir Khan Mosque, known for its intricate tile work. Next, visit Lahore Fort, a cultural legacy with Mughal and colonial influences. Admire the vibrant interior of Badshahi Mosque and tuck into traditional Pakistani cuisine at Lahore Food Street. Spend a second night in Lahore this evening, with time to head out and explore.

  • Day 3

    Gardens, Fortresses & Wagah Border

Our first stop today is the Shalamar Gardens in Lahore, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1641 (builder of the Taj Mahal). There's time to wander along the serene terraces, admiring pavilions and water features. We head next to Jahangir's Tomb, built in 1637 AD. The tomb blends Mughal and Persian styles, showcasing intricate tile work and calligraphy. Restored in the early 20th century, it stands as a testament to Mughal glory.

We then head to Wagah, on the Indian border. Wagah is famous for its lively Wagah Border ceremony, a daily spectacle performed by guards on both sides. After our day of exploring, we head back to Lahore for a third night.

  • Day 4

    Fly Lahore to Karachi

Lahore - Karachi. Say goodbye to Lahore after breakfast and check-out as you are transferred to the airport for your included flight to Karachi. On arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in and then head out to visit Mohatta Palace, a 1927 architectural marvel blending Rajasthani and Mughal styles. Visit its museum showcasing Pakistan's history and culture. Later, see a colonial building housing the Sadiquain Art Gallery and National Library, dating back to 1865. Your first evening in Karachi is at leisure.

  • Day 5

    National Museum of Pakistan

Today starts with a visit to the National Museum of Pakistan, founded in 1951. This museum boasts a huge collection of artefacts telling the rich and diverse history of Pakistan. Within its walls, you'll encounter precious manuscripts, historic coins, enduring sculptures, and refined pottery from across the ages. Each exhibit serves as a portal to bygone eras, ranging from the Indus Valley Civilization to the sculptures of the Gandhara civilization, Islamic art, miniature paintings, and the documentation of Pakistan's political history through ancient coins and manuscripts.

After plenty of time to explore the museum, you'll have the rest of the day free to relax in the hotel or continue taking in the sights of Karachi at your own pace.

  • Day 6

    Makli Necropolis

Karachi - Makli - Karachi. Your final full day in Pakistan is spent exploring the Makli Necropolis, a vast archaeological site located around 2 hours drive from Karachi. Makli is home to more than half a million tombs dating back to the 14th century. Explore intricate carvings, visit the impressive tomb of Jam Nizamuddin II, and witness the fusion of Persian, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. The commissioned mosque by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in gratitude to the city stands out for its detailed tile work and unique geometric brickwork, a rarity in Mughal-era mosques.

Returning to Karachi, enjoy the final night of the tour at leisure.

  • Day 7

    Karachi

Your tour comes to an end after breakfast and hotel check-out. No transfer is included, so make your own way to the airport or your next destination.
