Itinerary
Day 1
Tamparuli Bridge, Nabalu Market, Kundasang War Memorial & Mountain Resort
You are collected from your hotel or the airport for a scenic 30-minute drive to Tamparuli Town, where you take a relaxed walk across Jambatan Tamparuli, Sabah's iconic suspension bridge - a landmark steeped in local folklore that even inspired a traditional song and stage show. From here, you continue along the scenic Crocker Range for around an hour to reach Nabalu Handicraft Market, a hillside market where locals sell fresh produce, fruit, vegetables and handicrafts, with a nearby viewing platform offering panoramic views of Mount Kinabalu. You also stop at a family-friendly recreation park with a selfie garden and rabbit farm, before visiting the Kundasang War Memorial, dedicated to the soldiers who died in the Sandakan Death Marches during the Second World War.The day concludes with a final stop at Kundasang Market for fresh produce and herbs, before heading to your mountain accommodation for the night.
Day 2
Sosodikon Hill Sunrise Hike, Desa Cow Farm, Alpaca Club & Kundasang Farmville
This morning, you set off on an early hike up Sosodikon Hill, a short, beginner-friendly trail offering stunning views of the village and surrounding landscapes. From here, you head to Desa Cow Farm, lovingly known as "Little New Zealand of Sabah," where you can encounter Holstein Friesian cows, feed the calves, and sample local dairy treats such as yoghurt and gelato. You continue to the Alpaca Club, the only place of its kind in Sabah, where you can meet and feed alpacas, before wrapping up the day at Kundasang Farmville, home to an aquaponic farm, a selfie garden, an ice cream bus and a cafe.
Day 3
Kinabalu National Park, Poring Hot Springs, Canopy Walk, Fish Spa & Kota Kinabalu Return
After breakfast, you check out and proceed to Kinabalu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark. Set 1,500 metres above sea level, this 754-square-kilometre park is home to Mount Kinabalu, the highest peak in South East Asia, with mist-covered mountains and sweeping valley views. The park hosts an impressive range of plant life, with around 4,500 species including 1,500 varieties of orchid, and shelters 289 species of birds and 290 types of butterflies. A guided walk through the Botanical Garden reveals rare orchids, carnivorous pitcher plants and more.Afterwards, you head to Poring Hot Springs for a soak in natural sulphur pools styled after Japanese open-air tubs, with a cold-water pool nearby if you prefer. You then take on the Canopy Treetop Walk, a 105-metre suspension walkway raised 30 metres above the ground, offering a unique view over the ancient rainforest and the chance to spot rare wildlife and bird species, reached via a brief 20-minute hike. You conclude the day with a visit to a nearby fish spa, where local fish gently nibble at your feet for a natural pedicure, before the 3-hour transfer back to Kota Kinabalu, where your tour comes to an end.
