Itinerary
Day 1
Dublin Sightseeing & Leisure Time
Welcome to your Irish adventure! This morning, we'll gather at our hotel in Dublin to meet the group and tour leader. We'll then embark on an orientation tour of Dublin, exploring this vibrant capital. Key stops include the renowned Trinity College and a visit to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, steeped in history as Ireland’s largest cathedral.
Afterwards, you have free time to explore Dublin further. Alternatively, you can join an optional excursion for a quintessential Dublin experience. Enjoy a traditional pub lunch, visit a whiskey museum for a tasting, and leave with a branded glass as a keepsake.
This evening, we’ll enjoy a hearty three-course dinner at the hotel.
Day 2
Kilkenny & Waterford
Dublin - Kilkenny - Waterford. This morning, we depart Dublin and head for the medieval city of Kilkenny, located on the banks of the River Nore. We'll start with an orientation tour to get a feel for the city's rich history. Afterwards, you have free time to explore Kilkenny Castle or can opt to join the 'Discover Kilkenny' excursion. This optional tour includes lunch in a historic venue, a visit to Ireland’s oldest brewery, and the impressive 13th-century St. Canice’s Cathedral.
In the afternoon, we continue to Waterford, renowned as Ireland’s oldest city. Here, we'll have an orientation tour followed by a visit to The House of Waterford Crystal, where you can witness the artistry behind their world-famous crystal pieces. Tonight, a delightful dinner awaits us at the hotel.
Day 3
Waterford to Cork & Killarney
Waterford - Cork - Killarney. After breakfast, we bid farewell to Waterford and set off towards Killarney. Our journey includes a stop in Cork, Ireland's second-largest city. Here, you can join an orientation tour led by your tour leader, followed by some leisure time to explore. We suggest visiting the renowned Blarney Castle, where you have the option to kiss the famous Blarney Stone, said to bestow eloquence upon those who do.
In the late afternoon, we arrive in Killarney, allowing you some free time to wander the charming streets before we check into our hotel. Dinner is included this evening, providing an opportunity to unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.
Day 4
Killarney at Leisure
Today, you have the opportunity to explore the stunning Killarney region at your leisure. For a deep dive into Ireland’s captivating history and breathtaking landscapes, we recommend the Ring of Kerry Day Trip. This full-day excursion begins with a traditional jaunting car ride through the picturesque Killarney National Park, where you'll discover more about Ireland’s rich past. Enjoy a warming Irish coffee at a cosy local inn, take a leisurely seaside walk in Waterville, and shop for souvenirs in the quaint village of Sneem. Expect a day filled with lasting memories.
Day 5
Adare, Limerick, Cliffs of Moher & Galway
Killarney - Adare - Limerick - Cliffs of Moher - Galway. Anticipate a day brimming with Ireland’s most cherished sights. Our journey begins in Adare, a village often lauded as Ireland’s prettiest.
We continue to Limerick for an introductory tour, where we will visit the renowned Treaty Stone and admire the historic King John’s Castle. The day’s highlight is the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Marvel at the impressive landscape and capture stunning photographs of this natural wonder.
Our final destination is Galway, where you have the evening to explore at leisure. Consider the optional 'Tales of Galway' excursion for an immersive evening of Irish folklore, live music, and storytelling at a local pub.
Day 6
Optional Connemara, Athlone & Return to Dublin
Galway - Athlone - Dublin. Today, we explore more of Ireland's stunning landscapes and charming towns. You may choose to join this morning's optional excursion to the enchanting Connemara district. There, admire the breathtaking Kylemore Abbey and enjoy a cream tea. We'll drive through Connemara National Park, known for its serene lakes and majestic mountains.
Later, we'll travel to Athlone, a historic town featuring Ireland's oldest pub, perfect for a visit. We then head to Dublin for the final night of the tour. You could opt to celebrate with an evening of Irish food, music, and dancing.
Day 7
Dublin
This morning, we will gather for a final breakfast together, marking the end of our 7-day journey through the Emerald Isle.
