We'll also get to taste India's famous cuisine by sampling local delicacies - chaat or lassi anyone? In the afternoon, we'll visit the stunning red-marbled Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, and learn about the significant role religion plays in this country of over a billion people. To wrap up the city tour, we’ll stop by Rajghat Memorial, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, and check out a Sikh Temple.

  • Day 3

    JODHPUR & THE 'BLUE CITY'

This morning, we’ll leave the bustling streets of Delhi behind and catch a quick flight to Jodhpur, the 700-year-old ‘blue city’ in the desert. Towering over the Jodhpur skyline, the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort sits on a rocky hilltop, offering breathtaking views of the city and desert plains below. What better spot than the birthplace of yoga to reconnect with your inner yogi? This morning, we’re up bright and early to unwind with an included sunrise yoga session. Behind its weathered walls lies a stunning paradise filled with beautifully adorned chambers and intricate artwork. Then it’s time for Jantar Mantar, Jaipur’s ancient observatory.

  • Day 9

    RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK & FORT

Today, let's embrace a bit of adventure! Bid farewell to the chaos of rickshaws and scooters as we switch gears and venture towards the outskirts of one of India's biggest and most famous national parks. • I am currently in the last night of my India tour with Dev and Vivek. I left a review about the Thailand trip three years ago so coming on this trip I knew this would be amazing and still both of them managed to exceed my expectations. Dev made me feel safe, made sure every second was fun. He is thoughtful like no other tour leader had been before. I was able to turn my brain off and fully enjoy my vacation because the two of them made sure every moment was taken care of. During this trip I celebrated my 30th birthday. They surprised me with a cake, sang for me and got me a silly gift. We asked fr a mango tasting and they got 4 varieties of mangoes and brought them for us to try. Every moment of this trip was incredible and more than I had ever dreamed of. If you have dev as your tour leader or Vivek as the local guide i guarantee you’ll have the best time (if you are lucky like me you’ll get them together). I just finished the 13 day Thailand Experience and it was absolutely incredible. I have to say the highlights for me were Phi Phi Island and the elephant sanctuary. I absolutely loved both places. They had me wondering if I should move here. Not only was the travel amazing the group of people I met and our group leaders were phenomenal.

  • I've just completed the India intro tour and honestly can't recommend it enough, a truly unforgettable experience that exceeded all of my expectations! The choice of hotels, food, activities, everything was so good and our Group Leader Dev and Guide Vivek have been like family looking after our every need, keeping us safe and sharing so much knowledge about the country with us. As a newbie to group tours, it has definitely set the bar high!

  • Is tipping expected on this trip?

There is no requirement to tip on any INTRO trip. However there is a big tipping culture in India, and it is customary and expected that you tip a small amount in most places including bars and restaurants. While we cover all of our local suppliers wages and expenses it is customary for group members to offer a tip to drivers and local guides on India Experience, if you feel you’ve had good service. Your group leader can provide more detail on how you can contribute and suggested tip amounts whilst on tour if you feel comfortable doing so. You can find more info on spending money in the INTRO Travel App.
