Summary
Get up close to Iguazu Falls on this Independent Short Break. Straddling the border of Argentina and Brazil, the falls stretch almost 3 km, offering you plenty of viewpoints to witness their scale. Learn about this large waterfall from a local guide as you watch the water spill over. Iguazu is a Tupi-Guarani name meaning 'Great Waters', and when you see this mighty testament of nature, you’ll understand why!
Itinerary
Day 1
Foz do Iguazu
Ola! Welcome to Brazil. Your Short Break Adventure will begin when you meet a local representative at the airport for your arrival transfer. Settle into the hotel in Foz do Iguazu before a briefing with your local guide. Feel free to ask your guide for any food recommendations this evening, ahead of your big day tomorrow.
Day 2
Iguazu Falls (Argentina)
Wake up early for the train to Devil's Throat Station, where you’ll set off on your guided tour of the Argentinian side of the falls. The falls is made up of 275 individual waterfalls – and the majority of these are situated on the Argentinian side. Follow your guide along the boardwalk trail through the jungle to witness this spectacle from all angles. This experience is a feast for the senses – listen to the thunderous crashes and feel the refreshing spray on your skin.
While exploring the falls, visitors have the opportunity to get under the falls and wet with an optional ride on the Gran Adventura (at own cost), before returning to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 3
Iguazu Falls (Brazil)
Today, visit the Brazilian side of the falls with your guide for a fresh and equally impressive perspective. A number of optional activities are on offer (at extra cost) including a helicopter ride over the falls and a local bird park visit. If you’re interested in these, please speak to your leader on Day 1. After exploring the falls today, your Short Break Adventure ends with an included transfer to your post-trip accommodation or the airport.
