  This adventure includes opportunities to see the dazzling Northern Lights, explore the Golden Circle and meet the famous Icelandic horse, visit lava caves, chase waterfalls like Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, and enjoy a well-earned soak in the geothermal hot springs at the Sky Lagoon. You'll also have an immersive day tour of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

• Will Northern Lights sightings be guaranteed on this trip?

  The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and sightings are dependent on weather conditions. While the tour provides viewing opportunities, we cannot guarantee that travelers will experience the Northern Lights.

• What types of accommodation are provided during the tour?

  You can expect to stay in hotels for 4 nights and an Icelandic guesthouse for 2 nights. These are generally small, family-run hotels or pensions, varying in standard, but clean, safe, and in convenient locations. Please note that single rooms in European hotels are often smaller than double-occupancy rooms.

• What meals are included in the tour price?

  The tour includes 6 breakfasts and 2 dinners.

• What is the typical group size for this tour?

  The maximum group size is 16 travelers, with an average group size of 12.

• Are there any age restrictions for joining this trip?

  You must be at least 18 years old to travel unaccompanied. For minors traveling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.

  This tour has a physical rating of 3.

• What optional activities are available during the tour?

  Optional activities include visiting the Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik, the Secret Lagoon in Fludir (4600ISK per person), a Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike, and Snorkeling in Thingvellir National Park (17490ISK per person). Many popular optional activities can be pre-booked to secure space.

• What forms of transportation will be used on this trip?

  Transportation during the trip primarily involves walking and private vans or mini-buses.

• Is there an extra cost for solo travelers?

  Our group trips are designed for shared accommodation and do not typically involve a single supplement. Single travelers are usually paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex. However, nights 2 and 3 at the guesthouse are an exception to standard 'My Own Room' options.

• What currency should I use in Iceland, and what are the recommendations for money?

  The currency in Iceland is the Icelandic Krona (ISK). It is recommended to bring a combination of cash, credit cards, and debit cards.

• Is tipping customary or expected in Iceland?

  Tipping in Iceland is not customary, as a service charge is often included. However, a gratuity of 10% or rounding up the bill in a bar or restaurant is acceptable. For local guides, $3-5 USD per day is a recommended guideline, and for your CEO, €30-40 per person per week is a suggested amount if you felt they did an outstanding job.

• What should I know about safety and security during the trip?

  We recommend checking your government's travel advice. Use a neck wallet or money belt for valuables and leave expensive jewelry at home. Many hotels have safety deposit boxes, and a lock for luggage is recommended. Your Chief Experience Officer (CEO) may amend the itinerary for safety reasons. During free time, exercise good judgment for optional activities. In cities at night, it is advisable to stay in small groups and use taxis. Water-based activities should ideally be accompanied by a guide, and swimming/snorkeling is always at your own risk.

• What happens if the itinerary needs to change due to weather conditions?

  The weather near the Arctic Circle can be variable, especially in winter. Occasionally, this may require us to amend the itinerary for your safety. We will always strive to deliver a tour as close to the original itinerary as possible and ensure you see as much as you can, despite any bad weather.
