Travel through Galicia’s lush landscapes and the Rías Bajas before heading inland to León and historic Salamanca. Explore the grand cities of Madrid, Córdoba and Sevilla, then marvel at Granada’s Alhambra. Continue along the Mediterranean to Valencia and vibrant Barcelona, before winding north through Zaragoza, Bilbao and Santander to the green hills of Asturias. With iconic sights, rich culture and regional cuisine at every stop, this tour reveals the true diversity of Spain.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Santiago de Compostela
Arrive at your hotel independently. The remainder of the day is at leisure to begin exploring this beautiful city, renowned for its magnificent cathedral, cobbled streets and lively squares filled with local charm.
Day 2
Scenic Rías Baixas and Coastal Vigo
Santiago de Compostela – Rías Baixas – Vigo. After breakfast, we depart for the scenic Rías Baixas, often called the ‘Spanish Fjords’, travelling through splendid coastal landscapes. We pause briefly at La Toja Island before stopping in O Grove, where you can take an optional catamaran cruise to see oyster and mussel farms, complete with a tasting of fresh mussels and Ribeiro wine. We then continue to Vigo, where the afternoon is free to explore at your own pace. Optional excursion to Santa Tecla available.

Day 3
Atlantic Coast to Historic León
Vigo – León. Breakfast and departure towards Castilla y León, arriving in the historic city of León. Known for its remarkable artistic heritage, León invites you to explore its stunning Gothic Cathedral or wander through the charming old town at leisure.
Day 4
Salamanca’s Charm and Arrival in Madrid
León – Salamanca – Madrid. After breakfast, we travel to Salamanca. Enjoy a brief stop and some free time to discover the old town and admire the grand Baroque-style Plaza Mayor.
Day 5
Andalusian Treasures
Madrid – Córdoba – Seville. Breakfast and departure through the plains of La Mancha towards Córdoba. Our sightseeing tour includes the magnificent Mosque–Cathedral and the atmospheric Jewish Quarter. We then journey on to Seville.
Day 6
Exploring Seville’s Highlights
In the morning, we enjoy a guided city tour including María Luisa Park, Plaza de España, the exterior of Seville’s impressive Cathedral and its bell tower, the Giralda, as well as the picturesque Santa Cruz quarter with its narrow alleys and lively squares. In the afternoon, you may choose to take an optional cruise on the Guadalquivir River for panoramic views of the Gold Tower and the Expo 92 site, or visit the Maestranza bullring. In the evening, you may also wish to attend an optional flamenco show.
Day 7
The Wonders of Granada and the Alhambra
Seville – Granada. Breakfast and departure for Granada. Our sightseeing tour includes the breathtaking Alhambra Palace – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and the beautiful Generalife Gardens. Dinner and overnight stay. You may also opt to visit the Sacromonte caves and experience a traditional gypsy flamenco show.
Day 8
Across Andalusia to the Mediterranean Coast
Granada – Valencia. After breakfast, we travel via Guadix, Baza and Puerto Lumbreras to the Mediterranean coast, arriving in Valencia.
Day 9
Valencia to Vibrant Barcelona
Valencia – Barcelona. Breakfast and some free time to explore Valencia. We then depart mid-morning for Barcelona, arriving in the afternoon.
Day 10
Discovering Barcelona
In the morning, we enjoy a city sightseeing tour featuring Montjuïc Park with its spectacular views, the Olympic Ring, Columbus Monument and the Gothic Quarter. The afternoon is free for personal exploration. You may also join an optional night tour to see the city’s wide avenues and illuminated fountains.
Day 11
Zaragoza and the Road to Pamplona
Barcelona – Zaragoza – Pamplona. Breakfast and departure for Zaragoza. Enjoy a short stop with free time to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, Patroness of the Hispanic world.We then continue to Pamplona, famous for the San Fermín festivities and its historic old town.
Day 12
San Sebastián, Bilbao and Santander
Pamplona – San Sebastián – Bilbao – Santander. Breakfast and departure for San Sebastián, one of northern Spain’s most elegant cities. Enjoy free time to stroll along La Concha Bay or through the charming old quarter. We then travel to Bilbao for a brief stop to admire the striking architecture of the Guggenheim Museum before continuing on to Santander.
Day 13
Santillana, Covadonga and Oviedo
Santander – Santillana del Mar – Covadonga – Oviedo. Breakfast and departure for Santillana del Mar, declared a National Monument for its beautifully preserved medieval heritage. We continue through picturesque landscapes to Covadonga, where you will have free time to visit the Sanctuary. Arrival in Oviedo.
Day 14
The Road Back to Santiago de Compostela
Oviedo – La Coruña – Santiago de Compostela. After breakfast, we travel to Galicia and the stately city of La Coruña for a brief panoramic tour. We then continue on to Santiago de Compostela, where our journey concludes.
