Summary

We’re all a little bit Irish come March 17, but if you’re in the market for something more meaningful than a pint of green beer, hop aboard this delightful nine-day adventure to the Emerald Isle. Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry, traditional music in a local pub... seriously, it doesn’t get much more quintessentially Irish than this. We mix the essential sites and time in the villages to really round out the experience. Even if Ireland isn’t the Old Country for you, this trip will make you feel as though you’re back home.

  • While there are limitations with group travel, e.g. not being able to spend more time at certain sites, we really enjoyed our tour of Ireland. We loved the small group size. We appreciated having time on our own, along with the group activities. It appears that G Adventures attracts like-minded people. Our tour group developed a strong rapport with each other; this was an invaluable part of the trip. The group chat is still active. Met our expectations in most cases. One of the tour guides (guide in Derry) was less than attentive to the group. He moved too fast through crowds and left 3 people behind. His tour was hard to follow - seemed he tried to cover too much in too little time. Pacing seemed pretty good - would have liked a bit more time in a few places, but understand we had a lot of ground to cover in a finite amount of time.

  • Our "Highlights of Ireland" tour with G Adventures was a wonderful adventure exploring a country we have long wanted to visit. Our guides and driver were wonderful ambassadors of their country, and provided us with great knowledge and insights about the areas we visited, and did so in a professional, friendly, courteous, enthusiastic, yet patient manner. Our expectations were fully met by Ireland and its people, wonders, history and atmosphere! The tour was well-organized and guided and did deliver on showing us the "Highlights of Ireland" at a reasonable pace in comfort.
