Highlights of the Algarve - 8 Days

You will most likely arrive at Faro Airport. From here, make your own way to our hotel in the Algarve. On arrival, the rest of today is at leisure to settle in. There is an included welcome dinner at the hotel tonight.

Tour Style: On this tour you will stay in the same hotel throughout, with included excursions and free time to spend at leisure. On the excursions the maximum group size is 45. A tour leader is on hand at the hotel to provide information and assistance throughout your stay.

This morning meet our tour leader and the rest of the group properly at a tour welcome meeting, before the rest of the day is at leisure. You could head out to one of the many beaches in the Algarve, book a whale watching boat tour, or spend the afternoon visiting one of the large towns on the coast, like Albufeira.

Armacao de Pera - Lagos - Sagres - Armacao de Pera. Today we embark on a full-day guided tour to explore the charming, unspoiled towns of Lagos and Sagres, nestled in the beautiful Algarve region. In Lagos, we discover its rich maritime history, and can see the the 15th-century fortress where Prince Henry the Navigator launched many voyages during the Age of Discovery. Stroll through the town’s cobbled streets and see the impressive cliffs of Ponta da Piedade, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Continue to Sagres, known for its dramatic coastline and the legendary Cape St. Vincent, once thought to be the end of the world. Sagres also gives its name to Portugal's most popular beer, we're sure you will find time for a cool drink today! We end our day back at our hotel in Armacao de Pera.

Today is yours to enjoy at your leisure, whether you choose to relax or do a bit more sightseeing. You might want to wander through the town centre, browsing local shops for unique souvenirs. Afterwards, perhaps settle down with a refreshing drink at one of the charming cafés lining the streets, and simply watch the world go by.

Armacao de Pera - Loule - Faro - Armacao de Pera. We set off from the hotel for a half-day excursion to the traditional Portuguese town of Loule, where we enjoy a short walking tour. Visit the vibrant farmers market, known for its local produce and handicrafts, and the charming Church of Our Lady of Conception. Afterwards, continue to Faro, the capital of the Algarve, to explore its cobbled lanes, tranquil squares, and pedestrian streets. We then return to the hotel, where the rest of the afternoon and evening will be free for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Today is free for you to relax in the hotel, head to the beach or perhaps even tee off for a round of golf at one of the Algarve's famous courses.

Armacao de Pera - Silves - Alte - Armacao de Pera. Depart the hotel for a half-day excursion to the picturesque towns of Silves and Alte. In Silves, you could explore its historic castle and wander through the charming streets filled with traces of its Moorish past. Continue to Alte, known for its whitewashed houses, cobbled streets, and natural springs. The afternoon and evening will be yours to relax or further explore your surroundings at your own pace.
