Itinerary
Day 1
Barranco Guided Walk, Miraflores Market & Cooking Class
We collect you from your hotel around 9:30 am and set off for the bohemian quarter of Barranco. Wander its vibrant, art–filled streets on a guided walk, pausing at two favourite local spots to savour a traditional Peruvian breakfast. You then continue to the Santa Cruz Market in Miraflores – or a similar neighbourhood market – to sample fresh seasonal fruits and explore the astounding variety of local produce.
Next, roll up your sleeves for a hands–on cooking session at a local restaurant, learning to mix a classic Pisco Sour and prepare ceviche under the guidance of a professional chef. The experience culminates at the celebrated Huaca Pucllana Restaurant, set within the ancient adobe pyramid complex, where you enjoy a tasting of traditional dishes and desserts. Return to your hotel at the end of the tour.
Day 2
Exploring the Larco Museum
We collect you from your hotel around 9:00 am and head to the Larco Museum in Pueblo Libre, housed in an elegant viceregal mansion built atop a 7th–century pre–Columbian pyramid. Explore an extraordinary collection of more than 45,000 archaeological artefacts, including exquisite pre–Hispanic gold and silver pieces, as well as the museum’s renowned erotic art collection, which offers a distinctive perspective on 5,000 years of Peruvian history.
