The tour also includes a visit to El Barranco to see red-footed boobies, a walk along volcanic formations on Bartolomé Island, and a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station to see giant Galápagos tortoises.

  The tour includes 2 nights in hotels and 4 nights aboard the motorized yacht Eden. Onboard the Eden, accommodation options include twin-share cabins with bunk beds (upper deck), twin-share cabins with lower berths, or double cabins (main deck).

• Are flights within Ecuador to and from the Galápagos Islands included in the tour price?

  Yes, all local flights to and from the Galápagos are included in the cost of your tour. It's important to provide your passport information at the time of booking to process these tickets.

• What is the maximum group size for this tour?

  The maximum group size for this tour is 16 travellers.

• What meals are included during the trip?

  The tour includes 6 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and 4 dinners. All meals aboard the Eden are included.

• What types of transportation will be used on the tour?

  You will travel by plane, motorized yacht (the Eden), van, panga (small boat), and private bus.

• Are there any specific health considerations for this trip, especially regarding altitude?

  Inoculations may be required, so consult your travel doctor well before departure. We recommend carrying a First Aid kit and hand sanitizers. Please note that Quito is at a high altitude (over 8,000 feet/2,440 meters), and while most people adjust, everyone reacts differently to altitude. Consult your physician for advice on preparing for high altitude travel.

  This group trip is designed for shared accommodation without a single supplement. Solo travelers are typically paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip. If you book the "My Own Room" option, you will receive your own single room for all night stops.

• What are the tipping guidelines for the CEO and crew?

  Tipping is an expected, though not compulsory, expression of satisfaction. As a guideline, a per traveler tip of 7-10 USD per day for your CEO and 10-15 USD per day for the crew is suggested. Envelopes will be provided on the final night.

• What is the climate like in the Galápagos Islands during the tour?

  The Galápagos Islands, located on the Equator, have a climate tempered by the Humboldt Current, so extreme heat is not typical. The warmest weather is from December to June, with temperatures ranging from 22-33°C (72-90°F) and water temperatures in the mid-20s°C (mid-70s°F). From July to November, temperatures are cooler, ranging from 18-24°C (60s-75°F), with water temperatures rarely reaching 21°C (70°F).

• Is travel insurance mandatory for this trip?

  Yes, travel insurance is compulsory. You must have medical coverage with a minimum of USD 200,000 for repatriation and emergency rescue. Coverage for personal liability, cancellation, curtailment, and lost luggage is also strongly recommended.

• Who will be my guide during the tour?

  In the Galápagos Islands, you will be led by a CEO (Chief Experience Officer)/Naturalist Guide who is certified by the Galápagos National Park Authority. There will also be a local tour operator representative in Quito.

• Are laundry facilities available during the trip?

  Laundry facilities are available at the start and end hotel for a charge. Full laundry facilities are not available onboard the yacht in the Galapagos. If you wish to do your own laundry, it is suggested to bring non-polluting/biodegradable soap.
