  Accommodation includes 2 nights in hotels and 7 nights aboard the Yolita in twin-share cabins. Twin beds can be converted into a double bed upon request prior to the tour.

  Yes, all local flights to and from the Galápagos are included in the cost of your tour. Passport information is required at the time of booking to process these tickets. Flights to and from the Galápagos make a 1-hour refueling stop in Guayaquil.

  Yes, travel insurance is compulsory to participate in any of our trips. You will not be permitted to join the group without evidence of travel insurance, which must include medical coverage with a minimum of USD 200,000 for repatriation and emergency rescue.

  Our group trips are designed for shared accommodation and do not involve a single supplement. Single travelers are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex.

  You should have access to at least an additional USD $200 (or equivalent) as an 'emergency' fund, in case unforeseen circumstances require a change to the planned route.

• Is tipping expected on this tour?

  Tipping is an expected, though not compulsory, component of your tour. A guideline for tipping is 7-10 USD per day for your CEO and 10-15 USD per day for the crew, per traveler.

  The daily schedule typically includes a shore excursion after breakfast, lunch aboard, a possible siesta, and an afternoon shore excursion. In the evening, after dinner, your naturalist guide will brief you on the islands to be visited the next day. You will be ferried from the yacht to shore via small boats called pangas, with landings being either 'dry' or 'wet' (wading in shallow water).

• What is the climate like in the Galapagos Islands?

  Located on the Equator, the Galápagos climate is tempered by the Humboldt Current, so extreme heat is not experienced. The warmest weather is from December to June, with temperatures ranging from 22-33°C (72-90°F) and water temperatures in the mid-20s (mid-70°F). From July to November, temperatures are cooler, ranging from 18-24°C (60s-75°F), and average water temperature rarely reaches 21°C (70°F).

• Are laundry facilities available during the trip?

  Laundry facilities are available at the start and end hotels for a charge. Full laundry facilities are not available onboard the yachts in the Galápagos. If you wish to do your own laundry, it is suggested to bring non-polluting/biodegradable soap.

  Transportation includes plane, motorized yacht (Yolita), van, panga (small boat), and private bus.
