Upon your arrival in Edinburgh, you'll be greeted by the welcoming charm of Scotland's capital. After transferring to your hotel, the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Take this opportunity to wander through the historic streets, savour local delicacies, or simply relax and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. Detailed information about the commencement of your tour will be available on the reception boards. Please be aware that travellers may join or leave the group at different stages of the journey, so expect a dynamic mix of companions, though the group size will remain within comfortable limits. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.

In the morning, after enjoying breakfast, we'll embark on a captivating tour of Edinburgh, Scotland's vibrant capital. Our knowledgeable local guide will lead us through this dynamic city, renowned for its rich history and culture. Edinburgh's city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasts a remarkable blend of historical and architectural treasures. Dominated by the iconic Edinburgh Castle, the city is lined with steep streets and adorned with charming parks, offering enchanting views and a glimpse into its storied past. After the tour, you'll have time to explore the city at your leisure.

On Day 3, we will bid farewell to Edinburgh and make our first stop at The Kelpies, impressive horse head sculptures inspired by Scottish folklore. These remarkable structures celebrate the power and grace of horses, as well as their deep-rooted connections to the land and water. Our journey then takes us to Stirling, where we will explore the historic town’s remarkable castle. This significant fortress has played a key role in Scotland's history, witnessing various legendary battles and royal coronations. Entry to the castle is included.

Continuing our adventure northwards, we will pause in the charming town of Pitlochry. Nestled in the heart of Scotland’s whisky-producing region, Pitlochry offers the perfect spot for lunch and a leisurely stroll. Moving further north, we will arrive at Culloden, the site of a major historical battle against British forces where the Scots faced a decisive defeat. This event led to significant cultural and political changes in Scotland.

As evening approaches, we will reach Inverness, the vibrant "Capital of the Highlands." We suggest taking a relaxing walk along the banks of the River Ness, admiring the view of the distinguished castle and enjoying the beautiful surroundings, including the scenic suspension bridge. Please note that the stop in Culloden might occur on a Monday, depending on the time of year and daylight conditions.

Today, we're set to explore the captivating landscapes of northern Scotland. Our journey begins with a visit to the enchanting Eilean Donan Castle, a picturesque site perched on the waters of a fjord – admission included. We then head to Fort Augustus, where you'll have time to explore the sluice gate system and enjoy some lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we'll make our way to the legendary Loch Ness for a boat tour across its mysterious depths. Admission to the tour is included. Following this, we'll uncover the medieval Urquhart Castle with included entry. Our day concludes back in Inverness, where we’ll visit a traditional whisky distillery. Here, you’ll learn about the crafting process behind Scotland's renowned national drink; admission and a tasting session are included. Overnight accommodation is arranged in Inverness. Please note that the distillery visit may be scheduled for either late Sunday or on Monday, depending on ticket availability.

Today, we immerse ourselves in more of Scotland's breathtaking scenery. Our day begins in Spean Bridge, where we pause to reflect at a monument dedicated to those who served in the Second World War. From there, we continue to Fort William, a vibrant destination nestled at the base of Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the United Kingdom. As we make our way onwards, we'll pass by the striking ruins of Kilchurn Castle, situated picturesquely next to a dark, serene loch.

Arriving in Inveraray, a charming historic village by the shores of Loch Fyne, you'll have the opportunity to explore its grand castle and quaint streets while enjoying lunch. Following our visit, we’ll travel along the scenic shores of Loch Lomond before reaching Glasgow in the evening. Once in Glasgow, you'll have free time to delve into the lively atmosphere of this dynamic city's centre.

On day six, we leave behind the vibrant city of Glasgow and set out towards the southern part of Scotland. Our morning involves a relaxing ferry journey from Cairnryan to the shores of Northern Ireland. Once we arrive in Belfast, the dynamic capital, you'll notice how the city is gracefully emerging from its complex historical tapestry of religious conflict. Our travels then take us further south into the Republic of Ireland, where we'll reach the bustling city of Dublin by the end of the day. This journey across land and sea promises to offer rich insights into the cultural landscapes of both Northern Ireland and Ireland.

We begin our day in Dublin, the serene capital of Ireland, with a panoramic tour. Our journey takes us along the serene banks of the River Liffey, where we will explore the city’s parks, the historic university, and the lively downtown streets. A highlight will be viewing the exterior of Trinity College, one of Ireland’s most esteemed institutions. The afternoon is yours to discover the city at your own pace and perhaps delve into Dublin's rich literary heritage or enjoy a traditional Irish meal. Please note that occasionally, depending on our arrival time in Dublin and the daylight hours, the city tour might take place the previous afternoon.

After departing Dublin, we'll make our way to Powerscourt, situated nearby. Here, we'll explore the breathtaking Powerscourt Gardens, crafted in the 18th century and renowned as Ireland's most exquisite gardens, with entrance included. Marvel at the elegant fountains, the tranquil Japanese Gardens, and even the unique pet cemetery. Following this, our journey takes us to Kilkenny, where you'll have ample time to enjoy lunch and wander through this vibrant town. Continuing further south, we'll pause to visit the awe-inspiring Rock of Cashel, a medieval fortress that stands as a symbol of the Irish resistance against England — entry is included. We will arrive in Cork by evening, allowing you some time to wander the centre of Ireland's second-largest city. Dinner is also included, wrapping up a day filled with captivating experiences and historical insights.

Today, we'll head to Kinsale, making a stop at Charles Fort to take in the captivating ocean views near this 17th-century stronghold. You will have some time to explore Kinsale, known for its charming historic centre and status as one of Ireland's most picturesque coastal towns. Our journey continues to Killarney, a popular tourist destination nestled in the heart of Ireland, where you'll have time to enjoy lunch and a leisurely walk around town.

Later, we’ve arranged a delightful Jaunting Car Tour through Killarney National Park, which will take you through splendid gardens and along the serene lake, with Ross Castle’s stunning lakeside views awaiting you. Your experience of Killarney's natural beauty extends with a short cruise to savour the idyllic scenery of the lake.

We'll then visit Adare, a quaint village where traditional stone and thatched-roof cottages line the streets and the ruins of an old abbey tell tales of the past. By mid-afternoon, we will reach Limerick, offering you time to discover the city centre. You might choose to visit the castle, wander along the river, explore the cathedral, or indulge in some local shopping. The day concludes with a dinner, included as part of your experience.

On day ten, we'll delve into Ireland's rich past with a visit to Folk Park in Bunratty, where entrance is included. This captivating attraction immerses you in traditional Irish life, featuring historic cottages and bustling old markets, alongside a well-preserved castle offering a glimpse into medieval living. Following this, we'll head to Caherconnell to marvel at the Poulnabrone Dolmen, an enigmatic ancient tomb. If fortune favours us, we may witness a traditional sheepdog demonstration. Next, our journey takes us to the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, where the ocean stretches as far as the eye can see. Entrance is included, and there's an option for those inclined to take a walk towards O’Brien’s Tower for a panoramic view. Our path leads through the rugged beauty of Burren National Park before concluding the day's travels in the vibrant city of Galway.
