Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Athens to Olympia

You'll be picked up from a hotel of your choice in Athens. We will begin our day by taking the scenic coastal road to the Corinth Canal for a brief visit. This marvel of engineering links the Aegean and Ionian seas. Next, we'll head to the Theatre of Epidaurus, celebrated for its exceptional acoustics and still used for performances today.

Following this, we make a short stop in the charming town of Nafplio, known for its neoclassical architecture. Our journey continues to Mycenae, where we explore the Archaeological Site and the legendary Tomb of Agamemnon, rich in ancient history and myth. Our route then takes us through the heart of the Peloponnese, passing through Tripolis and Megalopolis, before arriving in Olympia for the night. Here, you’ll be at the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Dinner will be provided.

  • Day 2

    Olympia & Delphi

In the morning, we'll explore the Archaeological Site where you’ll discover the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum. These sites offer a fascinating glimpse into ancient Greek history and culture. After our visit, we drive through the scenic plains of Eliad and Achaia, heading towards the impressive bridge that spans the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. En route, you'll have the opportunity to see the charming towns of Nafpactos, known historically as Lepanto, and Itea. We then arrive in Delphi for an overnight stay, where dinner is included.

  • Day 3

Exploring Delphi & Transfer to Kalabaka

In the morning, we'll explore the Archaeological Site and Museum, delving into fascinating historical insights. Afterward, we'll set off for Kalabaka, a charming town nestled at the base of the breathtaking Meteora rock formations. These towering pillars have long been a centre for monastic life and offer stunning views. We'll spend the night here. (Dinner provided).

  • Day 4

    Meteora & Return to Athens

Discover the awe-inspiring Meteora, where we will visit ancient monasteries perched atop towering rock formations that appear to defy gravity. These monasteries are home to stunning examples of Byzantine art. Please note, ladies are asked to wear skirts and gentlemen long trousers when visiting the Meteora monastery

We will then return to Athens, making brief stops in Trikala, Lamia, and Thermopylae, where you can admire the Leonidas Monument from across the road. We expect to arrive in Athens in the early evening where you can be dropped at a hotel of your choice.
