Our adventure begins as we set off early to explore the captivating landscapes of southern Portugal. Crossing the expansive bridge over the Tagus River, we make our way to the Algarve region, renowned for its scenic beauty. Our first stop is the historic city of Lagos, a city steeped in history, once a bustling port for ships bound for Brazil. We’ll wander through its delightful historic centre, which is enclosed by ancient walls, and there will be time for you to enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, we head to Cape St. Vincent, the dramatic westernmost point of mainland Europe. The windswept cliffs provide a perfect backdrop for photography, especially with the historic Sagres fortress nearby. We conclude our day in Albufeira, a coastal gem that invites you to unwind on its lovely beaches or explore its vibrant historic heart. Accommodation is arranged for you in Albufeira or a nearby locality within the Algarve. We set off to explore Faro, the tranquil capital of the Algarve, perfect for a relaxed stroll. Following this, we journey further into the Alentejo region, arriving at Mértola. This fascinating museum-town, once a significant centre during the Muslim era, is perched on the banks of the Guadiana River. As we wander its streets, lined with whitewashed houses and steeped in history, we encounter its striking castle. Our next stop is Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city, where you'll have time to discover its medieval palaces, impressive Gothic churches, and the ancient Roman temple. Here, we also visit the Chapel of Bones, noted for its walls lined with over 5,000 human skeletons – entry is included. We conclude our day by travelling back to Lisbon, where we arrive at the end of the day.
