  You will stay in hotels (3 nights in comfortable twin rooms with en suite or shared facilities), lodge/chalet (3 nights in standard rooms or chalets/bungalows with en suite or shared facilities), and one night of full-service camping in pre-erected safari tents with bedding, a private chemical toilet, and bucket showers. Please note that some properties may not have elevators.

  The tour includes 7 breakfasts, 1 lunch, and 3 dinners. Your tour leader will prepare meals during the Okavango Delta camping excursion. Vegetarian and other dietary requirements should be specified prior to arrival.

• What modes of transportation will be used on the trip?

  Transportation includes a comfortable, air-conditioned private local bus for long drives, safari vehicles for wildlife viewing, walking, and traditional mokoro (canoe) excursions in the Okavango Delta. Road conditions can vary from good to very poor at times.

  The maximum group size for this tour is 18 travelers, with an average of 14.

• What are the age restrictions for joining this trip?

  Travelers must be 18 to travel unaccompanied. Minors aged 12 and older can travel with a guardian who is at least 21 years old.

  Yes, travel insurance is compulsory. It must include medical coverage with a minimum of USD 200,000 for repatriation and emergency rescue. We also strongly recommend coverage for personal liability, cancellation, curtailment, and loss of luggage/personal effects.

It is compulsory to show a valid Yellow Fever Certificate if you are traveling to Botswana from a Yellow Fever endemic country or have recently visited one. • What are the currency and money exchange guidelines for the countries visited?

  Namibia uses the Namibian Dollar (NAD), equivalent to the South African Rand. Botswana uses Pula (BWP). Zimbabwe uses the US Dollar and South African Rand. We strongly advise bringing ZAR or USD from your home country or exchanging money before the tour for Zimbabwe due to ATM difficulties. USD notes older than 2006 are not accepted. USD cash is required for border visas. Travelers' cheques are not recommended. Visa/Plus system cards are widely accepted for debit; Mastercard/Cirrus may be harder to use. Credit cards are only accepted in major cities, usually with a 5-10% fee. A combination of foreign currency and debit/credit cards is best due to potential power outages and ATMs running out of cash.

Drones are prohibited in national parks in Southern Africa. During free time, use good judgment for optional activities, stay in small groups at night, and use taxis.   Due to constant movement, there will not be much time for same-day laundry service. You should ask your guide/tour leader to assist with any laundry arrangements if needed.

  All countries require a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity. Botswana has a $30 USD tourism levy for most visitors. As of April 1st, 2025, Namibia will introduce a mandatory 90-day visa costing USD90 per person on arrival, and it is recommended to apply prior to travel to prevent delays. It is your responsibility to check and obtain all necessary visas and travel documentation by contacting your local embassy or consulate.
