The rest of today is free for you to settle in, or to head out and start exploring.

  • Day 2

    Exploring Old & New Delhi

After breakfast, we begin our Delhi sightseeing. We start with the majestic Red Fort, an impressive red sandstone symbol of Mughal power. Next, we take a rickshaw ride through the bustling streets of Old Delhi, exploring Chandni Chowk market and Khari Baoli spice market.

Next, we visit Sis Ganj Sahib Sikh Temple, where we can observe and participate in the community kitchen. Our tour continues at Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, noted for its grand architecture. Then we visit Humayun’s Tomb, an early masterpiece of Mughal design. We drive past the impressive government buildings of New Delhi, including Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhawan, finishing with a photo stop at India Gate, the war memorial honouring soldiers. Our day ends with a visit to the colourful Lodhi Art District.

  • Day 3

    Delhi to Agra

Delhi - Agra. After breakfast, we drive to Agra, famed for the iconic Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, built by Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1666. The fort showcases exquisite structures such as Moti Masjid and Diwan-I-Am. The city’s craftsmen, descendants of Mughal artisans, continue the tradition of intricate marble and soapstone inlay work.

On arrival, we transfer to our hotel before visiting Agra’s historic sites & a marble factory. We recommend you get an early night, as we're rising before dawn for a special day tomorrow...

  • Day 4

Taj Mahal Sunrise Visit & Chand Baori Step Well

Agra - Abhaneri - Ranthambore National Park. Today begins with what should be the highlight of your trip, and maybe even a life highlight! We visit the legendary Taj Mahal at sunrise, witnessing the stunning white marble mausoleum built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. This iconic monument, famed for its perfect symmetry and intricate design, took 22 years and 20,000 workers to complete.

After plenty of time to explore and snap some photos, we return to the hotel for breakfast. It's then time to leave Agra, as we drive towards Ranthambore, stopping en route at the village of Abhaneri, home to the famous Chand Baori step well. This is one of the deepest and largest stepwells in India, known for its intricate geometric design with 3,500 symmetrical steps. After our stop here, we continue to Ranthambore National Park and our accommodation.

  • Day 5

    Ranthambore Tiger Safari

We begin the day early with a safari in Ranthambore National Park, famed for its thriving Bengal tiger population. Spanning 392 square kilometres between the Banas and Chambal rivers, the park is also home to leopards, hyenas, deer, langurs, civets, macaques, sloth bears, and more.

After the morning safari, we return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, we visit a local women’s cooperative that produces traditional handicrafts before heading out for an afternoon safari to hopefully spot more of India's wildlife.

  • Day 6

    Ranthambore National Park to Jaipur

Ranthambore National Park - Jaipur. After breakfast, we drive to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital and famously known as the Pink City for its distinctive terracotta-coloured buildings. Founded in 1727 by Maharajah Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur was painted pink in 1876 to welcome Prince Albert, the Prince of Wales, during his visit.

On arrival, we transfer to the hotel before visiting Jantar Mantar, an impressive collection of astronomical instruments. We then enjoy a Pink Rickshaw ride through the city and you are then free to explore the local bazaars at leisure. Optional activities include watching a Bollywood movie at Raj Mandir or getting a traditional henna tattoo.

Next, we take a jeep ride to Amber Fort to explore its impressive blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture.
