Day 2
Rabat & Fes
Rabat – Fes. After breakfast, we explore Rabat, Morocco’s capital and one of its four imperial cities. Highlights include the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century mosque rising above an esplanade of over 200 columns, and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, built to honour the sultan who led Morocco to independence. The site is watched over by the royal guard, resplendent in ceremonial dress and mounted on horseback.
We then continue to Fes, the intellectual and spiritual heart of Morocco. A panoramic tour takes us past the royal palace and its iconic seven gates of Dar Al-Makhzen before we delve into the medina of Fes El Bali. This UNESCO-listed old city is the oldest and largest in Morocco, with 785 mosques and more than 2,000 alleys and squares forming a rich historical maze. We walk from Bab Boujloud to Es-Seffarine Square, tracing the city’s evolution from the 9th to the 19th century.
Along the way, we explore its architecture, artisan quarters—including the leather tanners and seamstresses—and visit a medersa. The tour ends to the sound of copper being hammered in traditional workshops. Lunch is included at a local restaurant, with the remainder of the day free at leisure.
Day 3
The Blue City & Tangier
Fes – Chefchaouen – Tangier. Today, we visit the iconic Blue City of Chefchaouen, renowned as one of the most beautiful and picturesque cities in Morocco. Stroll through its narrow, blue-painted streets leading to Outta El Hamman Square and enjoy free time to explore. After your free time, we will make our way to our final destination for today, the port city of Tangier.
Day 4
Return to the Costa del Sol
Tangier – Costa del Sol (Spain). Enjoy breakfast and spend the morning at your leisure until it’s time to depart and board the ferry back to Spain. On arrival, we’ll make our way back to the Costa del Sol, where our tour will conclude. Safe travels.
