Itinerary

  • Day 1

Travel from Costa del Sol to Fes

    Costa del Sol - Tarifa/Algeciras - Tangier - Fes.

We depart along the Costa del Sol’s scenic coastal route towards Tarifa or Algeciras. From here, we board the ferry for a short yet fascinating crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar, the narrow channel that separates Europe from Africa.

On arrival in Tangier, we complete customs formalities and continue by coach through the Moroccan countryside to Fes, one of the country’s great Imperial Cities.

  • Day 2

    Explore Fes

After breakfast, we explore Fes, the oldest and most monumental of Morocco’s Imperial Cities. Founded in the 9th century, it remains the country’s spiritual and cultural heart.

Our visit includes the impressive seven gates of the Royal Palace, the historic Jewish Quarter and the Bab Bou Jeloud gate. We then walk through the vast Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world, where traditional crafts and daily life continue much as they have for centuries.

The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore further or relax.

  • Day 3

Visit Rabat and Casablanca & Transfer to Marrakech

    Fez - Rabat - Casablanca - Marrakech.

After an early breakfast, we depart for Rabat, Morocco’s capital. We visit the exterior of the Royal Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V - a masterpiece of modern Alaouite architecture - and the iconic Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret.

We continue to Casablanca, the country’s economic centre. Here we see United Nations Square, stroll along the Corniche Boulevard and view the exterior of the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, dramatically set on the Atlantic coastline.

There is free time for you to have lunch on own account before we continue to Marrakech. This evening, you may choose to attend an optional traditional Fantasia Chez Ali dinner, featuring Moroccan cuisine and folklore under caidal tents.

  • Day 4

Discover Marrakech & Transfer to Casablanca

    Marrakech - Casablanca.

After breakfast, we visit Marrakech, known as the Pearl of the South. We begin at the Menara Gardens, with their pavilion set against a backdrop of olive groves and the Atlas Mountains.

We then view the Koutoubia Minaret, an architectural masterpiece and sister tower to Seville’s Giralda. In the historic centre, we visit the Bahia Palace, once owned by a nobleman of the city, showcasing exquisite Moroccan craftsmanship.

Our tour concludes at Jemaa el-Fna Square, the vibrant heart of the city. From here, we enter the souks and medina, where we encounter traditional artisan guilds specialising in woodwork, ceramics, leather and spices.

Lunch is included at the hotel before we depart for Casablanca.

  • Day 5

    Return to Costa del Sol

    Casablanca - Tangier - Tarifa/Algeciras - Costa del Sol.

After breakfast, we travel north to Tangier. At the port, we board the ferry for the return crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar to Spain.

On arrival, we continue to the Costa del Sol, where your journey will come to an end.
