Summary
Set sail from Fethiye and return to Fethiye over four days on a relaxed gulet adventure. You’ll explore the Gulf of Fethiye’s island speckled waters – swimming and snorkelling in turquoise bays, visiting Cleopatra’s Baths at Hamam Bay, and wandering the ruins on Tersane Island. There’s time to hike from Sarsala to an ancient Lycian town, then drift between the Yassica and Gocek islands for secluded beaches and glassy coves. Expect lazy decks, warm breezes and starry nights at anchor – plus a final dip off Red Island before docking back in harbour. Ideal for travellers who love sunshine, calm seas and culture.
Itinerary
Day 1
Sail Fethiye to Tersane Island
From around 15:00 we board our gulet at Fethiye Harbour, then we slip away for swimming and snorkelling in Turunc Bay or Tarzan Bay. We cruise past several islands towards Tersane Island – Dockyard Island – where we can explore the ruins of a former Greek town and a once important naval shipyard.
Day 2
Hammam, Sarsala & Bedri Rahmi Bays
After breakfast we set course for Hamam Bay, where we swim among the remains of Roman baths said to have been built by Mark Antony for Cleopatra. We continue to Sarsala Bay – a striking bay fringed by pines – from where you can take a hike of about 45 minutes to an ancient Lycian town noted for inscribed walls dating from the 3rd century BC. Bedri Rahmi Bay is our next stop, named after a famous Turkish painter, where we swim in the clear blue water or explore the island.
Day 3
Yassica Islands & Gocek
Today we cruise towards Fethiye, passing the Yassica Islands and Gocek Islands. Many of these small islands are unnamed yet offer sheltered anchorages and secluded sandy beaches – perfect for swimming, snorkelling or simply soaking up the sun as we enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We make a final stop for a swim at Red Island before returning to Fethiye.
Day 4
Return to Fethiye
We wake to the gentle motion of the gulet and enjoy a final breakfast on board as we anchor in Fethiye Harbour. Disembarkation is at approximately 10:00 am.
