  • Day 1

    Exploring Munich

    Arrive in Munich and make your way to the hotel before heading into the city centre for an orientation tour. We'll explore key highlights such as Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, Kaufingerstraße, and the historic Hofbräuhaus. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to discover more of Munich at your own pace.

    Alternatively, you may opt to join an optional Munich Food & City Tour, offering a closer look at local culture and lifestyle. With a local guide, tick off must-see attractions and experience Bavarian flavours at Viktualienmarkt. This evening, enjoy an included group dinner at a historic Bavarian restaurant. Finally, settle into the hotel for your first night of the tour.

  • Day 2

    Regensburg, Pilsen & Prague

    Munich - Regensburg - Pilsen (Czech Republic) - Prague. We set off towards Prague with a fascinating stop along the way in Regensburg. Here, we’ll enjoy an orientation tour, taking in highlights such as St. Peter’s Cathedral, Haidplatz, and the charming Old Town.

    Next, we continue to Pilsen, the birthplace of the world-famous Pilsner beer. We’ll explore the Old Town and main square on another orientation tour. For beer enthusiasts, there’s an optional excursion offering an award-winning brewery tour and tasting. Please remember, due to its popularity, this experience must be booked before starting your tour.

    This evening, we arrive in Prague and check into our hotel. We'll savour a dinner of Czech specialities at a local restaurant, providing a perfect introduction to the city’s rich culinary traditions.

    Prague Sightseeing & Leisure

    Begin today with a locally guided tour of Prague, renowned as the 'jewel of Europe'. Afterwards, you'll have free time to explore the city's sights and soak up the unique Prague atmosphere at your own pace. For a comprehensive experience, consider joining the Prague+ optional excursion. This includes a walk through the city's top attractions and a relaxing cruise on the Vltava River, all accompanied by an expert guide. Alternatively, you might choose to visit one of Prague's many beer halls to sample local brews or make your mark on the famous John Lennon Wall. In the evening, enhance your cultural experience with an optional excursion featuring traditional Czech folk dancing, dinner, and drinks.

    Brno, Bratislava & Budapest

    Prague - Brno - Bratislava (Slovakia) - Budapest (Hungary). Start your day with breakfast before setting off on an exciting journey through three distinct countries. We depart Prague, travelling by coach to Budapest, Hungary's vibrant capital.

    Our first stop is the picturesque city of Brno in the Czech Republic, where we'll have a brief rest and an orientation tour. Discover highlights such as the Cathedral of St Peter and Paul.

    Crossing into Slovakia, we reach Bratislava, the charming capital city. Here, enjoy a guided walking tour taking in sights like Michael’s Gate and St Martin’s Cathedral, offering a glimpse into the city's rich history.

    Finally, we arrive in Hungary. In Budapest, we'll take a guided tour of the Buda side, known for its impressive architecture and historical significance.

    Wrap up the day with a delightful three-course Hungarian dinner at a highly recommended local restaurant in Budapest, sampling the region's authentic cuisine.

    Budapest at Leisure

    Explore Budapest's renowned attractions and hidden treasures on a free day today. For a comprehensive look at the city's highlights, consider the optional Budapest+ excursion. You'll visit spectacular sites like St. Stephen’s Basilica and the Central Market Hall.

    Afterwards, relax in the therapeutic thermal waters at one of the city's famous baths, available through an optional excursion. With a history of thermal bathing dating back to Roman times, Budapest boasts 123 thermal and 400 mineral springs from 14 distinct sources - a quintessential experience not to be missed. This evening, you can opt for a memorable dinner cruise on the Danube, offering stunning views of Budapest's illuminated landmarks. Meals: Breakfast.

  • Day 6

    Gyor & Vienna

    Budapest - Gyor - Vienna (Austria). Today, we leave Budapest for Vienna, Austria's capital, with a stop in Győr, renowned as Central Europe's Baroque jewel. We'll take an orientation tour through Győr, admiring its spectacular Baroque town square. Afterwards, we continue to Vienna, where we check into the hotel upon arrival.

    Our exploration begins with a guided city tour led by an expert local guide. This will provide an informative introduction to Vienna's storied past and vibrant present. In the evening, we'll savour traditional Austrian flavours over a delicious three-course dinner at a local restaurant.

    Later, you have the choice to attend an optional classical concert in a magnificent venue where Mozart once performed, offering a marvellous end to your day.

  • Day 7

    Vienna at Leisure

    Today in Vienna is yours to explore. For an in-depth experience of the city's culture, join our optional excursion to the UNESCO-listed Schönbrunn Palace. This visit delves into the imperial history of Vienna and is an excellent opportunity to admire the city's stunning Baroque architecture. Following the palace tour, we'll head to a historic Viennese café where lunch is included. Alternatively, use your free time to discover Vienna's numerous culturally and historically rich attractions at your own pace. Meals: Breakfast.

  • Day 8

    Melk & Salzburg

    Vienna - Melk - Salzburg. Today, we bid farewell to Vienna and travel to Melk, a city celebrated for its stunning position on the Danube and its 11th-century Melk Abbey, an Austrian masterpiece. Join our expert guide for a tour of the Abbey, exploring its intricate adornments and a library brimming with medieval manuscripts.

    Our journey continues to Salzburg where we'll begin an orientation tour of key sites, including the Salzburg Cathedral, Residenzplatz, and the birthplace of Mozart. Later, you can explore iconic locations from The Sound of Music on an optional excursion. After checking into our hotel, we'll relax and settle in for the night in Salzburg.

  • Day 9

    Return to Munich

    Salzburg - Munich (Germany). On our final day, as we travel from Salzburg back to Munich, we'll enjoy the picturesque landscapes along the way. We'll make a stop at one of Germany's most celebrated attractions, Herrenchiemsee Palace and Park. A scenic boat ride will take us to Herreninsel, the largest island in Lake Chiemsee.

    The afternoon is yours to explore the captivating island. You can visit the opulent Herrenchiemsee Castle, discover the monastery, or savour a traditional German lunch. Later, we'll return to the mainland by boat and proceed to Munich, where we'll stay tonight. You can spend your last evening as you wish - perhaps a final group dinner?

  • Day 10

    Munich

    After ten unforgettable days exploring Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Austria, our Central Europe tour concludes today. Join the group for a final breakfast before check-out. Make your own way to the airport or your next destination.
