Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to South Africa!
On arrival, Independently make your way to your hotel. After check-in, you may spend the rest of the day at leisure to rest or begin exploring the city at your own pace.
Day 2
Cape Town at Leisure or Optional Activities
After breakfast each morning, enjoy three full days at leisure in this remarkable coastal city. You may wish to explore Cape Town independently or join one of the optional experiences available. Over these days, you will have the chance to discover the city’s landmarks, dramatic coastline, rich cultural history, and world-class food and wine scene.
This evening on Day 02, we gather for a memorable farewell dinner at the Gold Restaurant, complete with an interactive drumming experience.
Optional: Table Mountain Cable Car You can take the rotating cable car to the summit of Table Mountain, where panoramic views reveal the layout of Cape Town and the rugged landscape surrounding the tip of southern Africa.
Optional: Robben Island Boat Trip From the Waterfront, board a boat to Robben Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site best known as the place where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years. Today it stands as a museum that reflects South Africa’s journey from oppression to democracy.
Optional: Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour You may join a full-day exploration of the Cape Peninsula’s dramatic coastline. Highlights include Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins, and Cape Point Nature Reserve. Summer departures include a visit to Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden; winter departures visit the historic wine estate of Groot Constantia. Tour departs daily between 07h45–08h45 and ends at 16h00.
Optional: Full Day Cape Winelands Tour Spend the day exploring the Winelands region, renowned for its striking scenery and long winemaking heritage. Visit picturesque Franschhoek, pass the Huguenot Monument, and continue via the Helshoogte Pass to Stellenbosch, known for its Cape Dutch architecture. Enjoy wine tastings at two estates, with time to browse the town’s shops and galleries. Tour departs daily between 08h00–09h00 and ends at 17h30.
Optional: White Shark Encounter Experience the thrill of observing great white sharks off the coast of Gansbaai. After a safety briefing, board the boat to Shark Alley, where you can enjoy surface viewing or, if you choose, enter the cage for a closer look at these powerful creatures. All equipment is provided and no diving experience is required.
Day 5
Cape Town to Entabeni Safari Conservancy
Cape Town - Johannesburg - Entabeni. After breakfast, we transfer to Cape Town International Airport for a flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, you will be met and escorted to your lodge in the Entabeni Safari Conservancy. If time permits, we head out on a safari drive in search of the area’s wildlife, returning to camp for dinner.
Day 6
Safari Adventure
Today, we enjoy early morning and late afternoon safari drives with expert guides. Entabeni is home to the Big Five – lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalos – along with many other species. Between drives, relax at the lodge and later enjoy dinner under the African sky, with time for stargazing if conditions allow.
Day 7
Johannesburg at Leisure
Entabeni - Johannesburg. After breakfast, we transfer back to Johannesburg and check in to the hotel. The afternoon is yours to explore independently or join an optional city tour.
Optional: Half Day Johannesburg City Tour Discover the contrasts of South Africa’s largest city, from Constitution Hill and the Old Fort Prison to the vibrant Maboneng Precinct, a hub of art, dining, and urban renewal. Learn how the discovery of gold shaped Johannesburg into the bustling metropolis it is today. Tour departs daily between 08h15–08h45.
Day 8
Johannesburg to Zimbabwe
Johannesburg - Victoria Falls. Today we transfer to the airport to connect to your flight to Victoria Falls. Once in Victoria Falls, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to the lodge. Spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.
Later, we head out on a relaxing sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. From the water, you may spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a wide variety of birdlife in their natural environment. The changing colours of the African sky provide excellent opportunities for photography as the sun sets over the river.
Day 9
Vic Falls Discovery
This morning, we visit Victoria Falls for a guided tour of one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders. The path opposite the Falls leads through lush rainforest, with openings along the route offering dramatic viewpoints. Further along, the Knife Edge Bridge provides an especially impressive panorama, although during the wet season the spray can be intense, so it is best to avoid carrying anything you do not want to get wet.
Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to relax at the lodge before we gather for dinner in the evening.
Day 10
