Itinerary
Day 1
Buenos Aires
Arrive at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires. We greet you on landing and provide your transfer to the hotel. You have the rest of the day at leisure to start getting to know the city. For arrivals at Ezeiza Airport – Ministro Pistarini International Airport – the transfer is not included and can be arranged as an optional extra. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 2
Exploring Buenos Aires
After breakfast, we set off on a guided city tour of the capital’s signature landmarks and neighbourhoods. We explore Tres de Febrero Park along with the historic racecourse and prestigious polo field, pause at Plaza Italia, and make photo stops at Plaza de Mayo, where key moments in national history unfolded, as well as in San Telmo and the colourful streets of La Boca. You may choose to visit the renowned Recoleta Cemetery – entrance optional – and nearby admire Iglesia del Pilar and the Metropolitan Cathedral. We travel the grand avenues of Corrientes, De Mayo, 9 de Julio, Alvear and Del Libertador, and take in Palermo, Recoleta and the modern waterfront of Puerto Madero, together with the Obelisk, Lezama Park, the Ecological Reserve and the main commercial and financial districts. In the evening, around 6.00 pm, we collect you from the hotel for an unforgettable night of tango, folklore and fine dining at El Aljibe, a beautifully restored early 20th century conventillo where a 17th century well was uncovered during restoration. The Tango and Folklore Show features 15 performers on stage – a live quartet led by maestro Carlos Buono, a singer, three couples of dancers and a thrilling malambo with boleadoras, ponchos and drums. A delicious three course dinner of classic local and international cuisine is served with regional wines, and at the end of the show we transfer you back to your hotel. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 3
Buenos Aires at Leisure
Breakfast at the hotel. You have a full day at leisure to revisit favourite spots, browse for crafts or simply soak up the city’s atmosphere. If you wish, you can join the Half Day Delta Classic – Boat Navigation and Tigre City Experience (not included – pick up at 8.00 am – duration 5 hours). On this relaxed outing you cruise for an hour through a maze of rivers and lush islands, passing traditional stilt houses, schools and churches while an audio guide shares insights into the Delta’s history, ecosystem and culture. Back on land, you continue through Tigre along Victorica Avenue, explore the Puerto de Frutos market, see the historic City Council building and wander the gardens of the Tigre Art Museum, edged by waterfront cafés and restaurants. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day 5
Mendoza Wine Tasting

Expert staff guide us through the processes from vineyard to cellar, and we enjoy tastings that reveal each winery’s distinctive style and flavours. We then call at a family run olive oil factory to learn about one of Mendoza’s hallmark industries, rounding off a flavoursome introduction to the region. Overnight in Mendoza.
