Itinerary
Day 1
Alice Springs to Uluru
Alice Springs - Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Today, you will be picked up from the designated meeting point at 6 am, before heading out from Alice Springs towards Uluru. Along the way, we pause at the Mt Connor lookout – often mistaken for Uluru – and make a short stop at Curtin Springs before reaching our campsite in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, we gain a deeper understanding of the Red Centre’s cultural and spiritual significance during a visit to the interpretive cultural centre. From here, we set out on a guided base walk around Uluru, where we visit the Mutitjulu waterhole and see ancient rock art that shares stories from the Dreaming. We continue into Kantju Gorge, a dramatic site featuring Central Australia’s tallest waterfall and a sacred cave used by Anangu elders. The day draws to a close with a memorable sunset over Uluru, followed by a hearty dinner at camp.
Please note: You will need to arrive in Alice Springs the day before the tour begins. The itinerary and route may be adjusted in response to seasonal weather conditions or park closures due to traditional landowner ceremonies.
