  This trip highlights include exploring the modern and ancient sides of Delhi, experiencing the colourful rural life of Rajasthan, basking in the magnificent beauty of the Taj Mahal, visiting various dzongs and Buddhist gompas in Bhutan, cultural interactions at a local farm in the Dragon Kingdom, and taking in the views of the stunning Himalayas.

• What's included in the tour?

  The tour includes: Women With Wheels Transfer from Indira Gandhi International Airport, a City Walk in Delhi, an Anoothi Block Printing Experience in Jaipur, a welcome meeting with your CEO and group, Sustainable Development Fees, visits to Agra Fort, Taj Mahal, I'timad-ud-daulah (Baby Taj), Fatephur Sikri, Jaipur City Palace (with guided tours), Abhaneri stepwell, Memorial Chorten & Motithang Takin Preserve, a Chimi Lakhang Hike, exploration of Paro Dzong and Archery grounds, free time in Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro, and a hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest). All transport between destinations and to/from included activities is also covered.

  The tour includes 5 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and 4 dinners.

• Where will we stay during the trip?

  Accommodation will be in hotels/guesthouses for 11 nights and a comfortable tented camp for 1 night.

• What are the modes of transportation on my trip?

  Transportation includes private vehicles, taxis, auto-rickshaws, cycle-rickshaws, 4x4s, and walking.

• Who will be leading the group?

  The group will be led by a Chief Experience Officer (CEO) throughout the trip, with additional local guides as needed.

• How large will the group be?

  The maximum group size is 18, with an average of 14 travellers.

• How old must I be to join this trip?

  You must be 18 to travel unaccompanied on this tour. For minors travelling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.

• Are international flights included in this trip?

  No, international flights are generally not included in the price of your tour. For some combo tours, international flights may be included; please speak to your GCO or booking agent for further details.

• Are local flights included in the cost of the trip?

  Yes, any flights noted on the itinerary for this tour are included. Flight tickets are provided by the tour operator during the tour. There may be a weight restriction for internal flights: one checked bag with a maximum weight of 30 kg (66 lbs) and one carry-on bag with a maximum weight of 5 kg (11 lbs).

• Is there an extra cost for travelling solo?

  We believe solo travellers should not have to pay more, so our group trips are designed for shared accommodation and do not involve a single supplement. Single travellers joining group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex.

• What activities are optional on this trip?

  Optional activities include: Half Day Culinary Tour of Delhi, Jaipur Balloon Ride, Jaipur Cooking Class with a Local Family, Jaipur Cycle Tour, and visits to Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Ta Dzong National Museum, Kyichu Lhakhang Temple, a movie at Raj Mandir, and a VAST Airport Experience in Paro.

• Should I be tipping on my trip?

  Yes, tipping is customary in India and Bhutan. For service providers like waiters, approximately 10% is suggested. Recommendations for tipping drivers and local guides range from $4-5 USD per person per day, and for your CEO, a guideline of $8-19 USD per person per day can be used.

• How much emergency money should I bring on this trip?

  You should have access to at least an additional USD $200 (or equivalent) as an 'emergency' fund, to be used if circumstances outside our control require a change to the planned route.

• What should I know about currency, credit cards, and exchanging money while on this tour?

  Currency exchange rates fluctuate; refer to www.xe.com for daily rates. In India, 1 USD was approximately 81.76 INR as of May 2023. ATMs accepting Visa and Mastercard are available in major cities. USD cash is recommended. Major credit cards are accepted in most shops but may charge a 2-4% transaction fee.

• What do I need to know about safety and security on my trip?

  We recommend checking your government's travel advice. Use a neck wallet or money belt for valuables and leave valuable jewellery at home. Many hotels have safety deposit boxes. A lock is recommended for luggage. Your group leader can amend the itinerary for safety. Be cautious in cities at night, stay in small groups, and take taxis. Water-based activities should only be participated in when accompanied by a guide.

• What rules should I know before joining this trip?

  Illegal drugs are not tolerated. The exploitation of people in the sex trade is completely contrary to our philosophy. CEOs have the right to expel any group member found with drugs or utilizing the services of paid sex workers.

• What happens if I experience problems when arriving?

  If for any reason you are unable to commence your trip as scheduled, please refer to the emergency contact details provided. If you have a pre-booked transfer and cannot locate the representative within 30 minutes of clearing customs, we recommend making your own way to the starting hotel and applying for a refund of the transfer cost upon your return.
