Day 2
Copenhagen Canal Tour
After breakfast on day 2, you will join an included canal tour with a local guide to explore Copenhagen's harbour and the idyllic canals. The tour departs from either Nyhavn or Gammel Strand and takes you past some of Copenhagen's top sights and attractions. As you travel through the water, your guide will give you insight into the beautiful churches, castles, historical houses, new buildings, and other sights that may interest you on this tour.
After, you will have the rest of the day and all of day 3 at leisure. You can enjoy the timeless charms of Copenhagen, from the iconic Little Mermaid to the rococo Royal Palace of Amalienborg. Walk around Nyhavn, once a bustling port, now a vibrant tourist hub. Be sure to check out house number 20, the former home of famed writer H.C. Andersen. Especially in the summer, Nyhavn is the perfect spot to unwind after a long day.
If you have enough time and are looking for a local experience, why not explore Denmark as a true local? Copenhagen is known for its biking culture dating back to the 1880's; men, women and children can be seen cycling to work and school. This is your chance to take a ride through the city.
