Bangkok to Koh Tao Diving Adventure - 13 Days

Upon arriving in Bangkok, a driver will pick you up at the airport and transport you to our guesthouse located in the bustling traveller district, Khao San Road. Join your travel group and get ready to embark on the adventures ahead. We'll enjoy a welcome group dinner tonight, so everyone can get to know each other.

Please note: This tour is designed for younger travellers looking for a backpacker-style experience and to meet like-minded people. The average age on this tour is around 21 - 35, and we are unfortunately unable to take any travellers over the age of 49. This morning, we'll discover a new perspective of Bangkok by exploring the city's legendary canals, where we can experience the floating markets and observe local lifestyles. Afterwards, we'll visit some of Bangkok's most revered and renowned temples, navigating the vibrant and bustling streets in a traditional tuk-tuk. The evening is yours to head out for a few drinks or to further explore at your own pace.

If you’re a fan of Thai cuisine, you’re in for a treat. This morning, we’ll dive into the secrets of Thai cooking with a hands-on class. Afterwards, we’ll board our overnight train heading south, complete with fully reclining beds. Remember to stock up on snacks and water for the journey.

Bangkok - Khao Sok National Park. Arriving in Khao Sok this morning, get ready for an unforgettable experience as we head to our next destination. Travelling through limestone cliffs on a traditional long boat, we'll arrive at our floating bungalow in the picturesque Khao Sok National Park. You'll have the rest of the day to enjoy activities like kayaking, tubing, and observing monkeys in their natural habitat.

Khao Sok - Koh Phangan. It's time to journey to the Thai islands as we make our way to Koh Phangan, renowned for its legendary full moon parties. We'll settle into our stunning beachside accommodation. Spend this evening browsing the local night markets, enjoying live music at a beachfront bar, or stargazing on one of the island’s quiet beaches.

Today, you have an entire day to yourself to do as much or as little as you desire. You can relax on the beach or by the pool, explore the island, or enjoy some time in the sea. Additionally, you'll be treated to a traditional Thai massage.

Today is dedicated to discovering the finest attractions of Koh Phangan, featuring some of the island's hidden gems and lesser-known beaches. You'll enjoy a day of sunbathing and snorkelling, followed by a delicious beach BBQ in the evening.

Feeling a bit sluggish after all that time at the beach? We have the perfect solution to get you energized - a Muay Thai boxing class where you'll learn to punch and kick like a professional. If you're looking for something more relaxing, consider a private yoga session instead. One of these activities is included, you choose which you would prefer to join! Since tonight is our last night on Koh Phangan, we'll be going out as a group for some night-time entertainment.

Koh Phangan - Koh Tao. Today, you'll bid farewell to your Group Leader and transition from one island paradise to another as we journey to Koh Tao. Upon arrival at the ferry, your transportation will be waiting to take you to your beachfront resort for check-in. Afterwards, you'll dive into a fun educational session with a lesson in SCUBA diving theory.

Please note: From day 9 until the end of the tour, you will be unescorted - all of your transportation and your dive program are still included. Please also note that some of the group may be leaving the tour in Koh Phangan, and not continuing to Koh Tao.

This morning, you'll apply your theoretical knowledge during your initial open water dive. At one of the island's numerous bays, you'll perform a shallow dive to practice essential skills, such as using your equipment, acclimating to breathing underwater, and mastering buoyancy control. After today's lesson, you will have plenty of free time to unwind on Koh Tao's incredible beaches, or further explore the area.

Today, two more dives are planned, taking you to a maximum depth of 12 metres. You'll focus on applying your newly acquired skills, while also taking the time to admire the vividly coloured coral reefs, observe the tropical fish, and possibly even catch sight of a turtle or two.

It's your penultimate day of diving, and we've saved the best part of the program until today. You'll make your way to the renowned Chumpon Pinnacles, where you can observe large schools of fish, reef sharks, and possibly even a whale shark! Diving to a depth of up to 18 metres, enjoy the most memorable day of the tour. Back on dry land, we recommend a memorable night out at one of the many beach bars of Koh Tao.

This morning, as you check out of our beachfront resort, you’ll have a final enjoyable dive to complete your dive package. After this, our tour will conclude. At your convenience, make your way to the airport to catch your onward flight, carrying cherished memories of your journey. Although there is no departure transfer included, your tour leader will be available to help you plan your onward travel and is on hand to assist you.
