Itinerary
Day 1
Bangkok
If you'd like, get here early to get in some sightseeing. It's best to travel around by water taxi, since the streets are so crowded. We recommend Chao Phraya River for its excellent views.
Day 2
Bangkok/Surat Thani
Get on first-name basis with Thailand's capital city by bike with an optional bike tour. Today, you can check out Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, go for a street food crawl, relax with a Thai massage, or explore the klongs (canals) by boat before boarding the overnight train.
Day 3
Surat Thani/Khao Sok
See southern Thai hospitality in action with breakfast at the tour operator-supported Khao Thep Pitak Community-Owned Farm & Restaurant, where you can also meet other international visitors. Later on, enjoy free time. Opt to go to Lake Cheow Lan where you can take in the views while hiking or swimming in the national park. Spend tonight falling asleep to the sweet sounds of the jungle.
This area is known for its natural beauty. You know what that means: lots of chances for photos.
Day 4
Khao Sok/Koh Samui
Your next stop is just a ferry ride away. Today, explore Ko Samui Island's beauty by catching the sunset at Chaweng Beach before eating your weight in street food at the night market. For your big night out, head to a popular beach bar, celebrate life-changing adventures, and dance the night away.
Day 5
Koh Samui
Take a scenic day trip to pristine Ang Thong National Marine Park. As a protected nature area consisting of over 40 islands, the views here are unforgettable — perfect for making friends back home jealous. Try to spot all the different kinds of marine life and explore above the water by foot or below the water by snorkel. Be forewarned: it might take you all day to take in all this beauty.
Day 6
Koh Samui/George Town
Gear up for a long day of travel. Ferry back to the mainland and continue by private vehicle to cross the border into Malaysia and on to George Town, Penang.
Day 7
George Town
Get a full day in Penang. Explore the busy streets and check out the colourful famous street art. Trust us: they make for a great backdrop!
Day 8
George Town/Chenderoh Lake
Learn about local culture (especially how to properly tie a sarong!) at this island homestay, nestled in the middle of a beautiful lake. Tonight, relax as you take in the scenery and connect with the family that runs this homestay.
Day 9
Chenderoh Lake/Cameron Highlands
Enjoy slightly cooler temperatures in the Cameron Highlands. Here, explore the well-marked trails through the lush tropical forest, visit a tea plantation, or search for the rafflesia: the world's largest flower.
Day 10
Cameron Highlands/Kuala Lumpur
Today is yours to take on. Walk around and explore, but don't skip trying the national dish of Malaysia, nasi lemak — a traditional rice dish made with coconut milk and pandan leaf.
Once the sun sets, see another side to the city as you stop by the famous Petronas Towers (which light up at night) before checking out the local nightlife.
Day 11
Kuala Lumpur
You've got the whole day for exploring. Head out of town to visit the famous Batu Caves or the Orang Alsi Museum. Later tonight, head to some rooftop bars for drinks and dancing, or stop by the night market and find some flavours you never knew existed.
Built in 1928 as a fresh market for locals, and revamped in the 1980s as an outlet for all Malaysian handicrafts, the night market is a local institution. Make sure you don't miss it.
Day 12
Kuala Lumpur/Melaka
Visit the old port town of Melaka, wander the narrow streets and absorb the atmosphere of this historically important town. The streets of Chinatown are lined with Peranakan (Straits Chinese) shophouses offering their traditional cuisine, Nyonya. There are temples, churches and mosques, museums and forts to explore.
Day 13
Melaka/Singapore
Head to Singapore today, where you can use your free time to see that famous skyline by boat or eat so much street food, you can barely walk. For a peek into the city-state's past life, wander the old streets of Little India and Chinatown.
Day 14
Singapore/Canggu
Fly from Singapore to Bali today! Time for some more ink on that passport. Arrive to Denpasar then drive to Canggu, one of Bali's most famous beach towns for a fun first night on the island!
Day 15
Canggu
You came to an island known around the world for having epic surf, so whether you shred or have never seen a board, today is for you! Join a surf lesson for all levels, getting your footing on land before hitting the water to practice with the instructors. After the lesson, the day is yours! Rent a board to keep practicing, relax on the beach or grab a beer at a cute warung, local Indonesian restaurant.
Day 16
Canggu/Bulian
Take a break from Bali's wild side and head north to Bulian. Here we can connect will locals, slow down and enjoy Bali's famed rice terraces. On the way up, we'll stop at the breathtaking Ulundanu Temple, sitting on the edge of Lake Beratan. Continue to Bulian where we'll be welcomed with a drink and lunch. Fuel up for a trek alongside waterfalls, through rice fields and in the local village to connect with the natural and cultural side of Bali. Learn to make Balinese offerings then head to the nearby temple and join a local priest for the ceremony.
Day 17
Bulian
Enjoy all that the beautiful village of Bulian has to offer today on a free day to choose your own adventure. Choose to trek through Lemukih Village to see a durian plantation, beautiful rice terraces, coffee fields and waterfalls! You'll even have the chance to slide down a natural waterslide! Or choose to head out on a bike tour through Bulian to get acquainted with Northern Bali.
Day 18
Bulian/Kintamani
A free morning gives you the chance to explore the rest of Bulian on your terms. Choose to just chill, or join a local cooking class or sunrise fishing trip. Then jump in the van and drive to Kintamani, the town nestled at the base of Mt Batur to arrive to our campsite for the night. Did we mention this campsite has a hot spring pool? Soak in the hot springs then join us 'round the campfire for a cozy night of camping!
Day 19
Kintamani/Ubud
Rise and shine as we are getting after it today! Waking well before the sun, we'll start our 2 hour trek to reach the Mt Batur summit in time to enjoy an absolutely stunning sunrise. And what's a picturesque sunrise without a lil picnic breakfast, amirite? With the sun finally up, we'll hike back down for a proper breakfast and a well-deserved hot spring soak. Then it's goodbye Kintamani and hello Ubud! On the way, we'll stop at the tour operator-supported PKP Community to meet with the women leaders, visit the garden and enjoy a local lunch. Then, the rest of the afternoon is yours to explore Ubud. But in the evening, put your party hat on because we're going out! Join your group and CEO for your Big Night Out in Ubud.
Day 20
Ubud
There is always something to discover in the great town of Ubud. Today is yours to explore however you’d like.
Day 21
Ubud
With seemingly never-ending things to do in Ubud, choose to spend it how you want! Choose between incredible local experiences like a Balinese Spiritual tour at Widya Guna Foundation, a cooking class at G for Good PKP Community, a bike tour through the rice terraces or an experience with a local family! The choice is yours!
Day 22
Ubud/Nusa Lembongan
Nusa Lembongan is way less touristy than Bali- so much less so that it doesn’t have a harbour. Our feet will get wet as we disembark onto the island so wear appropriate clothing. Don’t worry- our team will keep your bags dry!
Day 23
Nusa Lembongan
Free day in Nusa Lembongan! Woop Woop! How do you want to spend today? Fancy an off-the-beaten-path adventure to see the beighbouring island of Nusa Penida's temples, caves and beaches? Maybe a day trip to Nusa Penida for a chance to see snorkel the vibrant reefs of this other b-e-a-utiful island! Or how about a snorkel trip around Nusa Lembongan to see manta rays in the coral reefs and to admire the interesting ecosystems around the mangroves. So many good choices!
Day 24
Nusa Lembongan
Depart at any time. If you are headed home, take a ferry back to the Bali to get to the international airport. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to take the ferry and drive to the airport, arriving to the airport 4 hours before your flight. We suggest taking the 10:00 am ferry for a flight after 4:00 pm.
