Itinerary
Day 1
Athens
Welcome to Athens, the capital of Greece! Upon arrival, you'll meet our representative and be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace.
Day 2
Exploring Athens & The Acropolis
This morning, join our expert guide for an insightful tour of Athens' highlights. We'll begin with a panoramic drive, taking in the Panathenaic Stadium, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and Constitution Square (Syntagma).
Next, we'll explore the Acropolis, a timeless symbol of democracy, education, and inspiration. Our tour culminates with the remarkable Acropolis Museum, where entrance fees are included. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure.
Day 3
Exploring Delphi & Kalabaka
Athens - Delphi - Kalabaka. After breakfast, we set off by bus for a captivating day tour of Delphi, home to ancient Greece's most renowned oracle and once considered the centre of the world. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, this breathtaking site contains the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythius. Explore the impressive Treasury of the Athenians, the Theatre, and the Stadium. At the museum, marvel at the celebrated statue of Antinoos and the unique bronze Charioteer, dating back to 475 B.C., as well as the famous athlete Aghias.
As we journey across the Thessalian plains, take in views of charming towns like Amphissa, Lamia, and Trikala from your window. We'll reach our hotel in Kalambaka by early evening, where you'll enjoy dinner and relax after a day rich in history and scenery.
Day 4
Meteora & Return To Athens
Kalabaka - Meteora - Athens. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before heading to Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This remarkable area boasts over 20 rock monasteries, some perched atop towering sandstone cliffs, others nestled within natural caves. The site offers breathtaking views and hosts invaluable historical and religious artefacts seemingly floating between earth and sky.
On our return journey to Athens, you have the opportunity to visit the coastal town of Thermopylae, near Lamia. Here, you can learn about the famous battle between the Greek Spartans and Persians. We expect to arrive back in Athens early in the evening.
Day 5
Ferry To Santorini
Athens - Santorini. In the morning, we will transfer to the port of Piraeus for the ferry journey to Santorini. Upon arrival, you'll be taken to your hotel. Afterwards, you'll have the remainder of the day free to explore the stunning island of Santorini at your leisure.
Day 6
Santorini At Leisure
Today is yours to relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings. Explore the distinctive black sandy beaches and witness one of the world’s most romantic sunsets. We recommend you consider a half-day cruise to the volcanic islands of Nea Kammeni and Palea Kammeni, located in the centre of the renowned caldera. Here, you can enjoy the unique hot springs with their orange-tinged waters, perfect for a swim during the summer months. In the evening, don't miss the chance to indulge in a romantic dinner overlooking the caldera, offering truly breathtaking views.
Day 7
Return to Athens
We will transfer to the port for our departure to Piraeus, the bustling port city of Athens and a vital part of Greece's maritime history. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel to settle in and unwind.
Day 8
Athens
Depending on your flight schedule, we will arrange your transfer to Athens Airport for your journey home. You will leave with cherished memories of Greece's remarkable attractions. Should you wish to extend your stay, additional nights can be arranged. Farewell, and we hope to welcome you back on your next visit.
