Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Welcome to Kathmandu

On arrival in Kathmandu, we are met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. A traditional welcome is provided with a Dhaka Khada scarf.

Later, we explore Swayambhunath Stupa - one of Nepal’s oldest Buddhist sites, believed to be around 2,000 years old. Set on a hilltop, it offers sweeping views across the city. We also visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, once the royal palace complex and still a centre of traditional architecture and culture. The rest of the day is free to prepare for the trek.

  • Day 2

    Transfer to Pokhara

After breakfast, we drive west towards Pokhara along scenic mountain roads following rivers, terraced hillsides and rural villages. Pokhara is Nepal’s beautiful lakeside city and the gateway to the Annapurna trekking region. Located at a lower altitude than Kathmandu, the city enjoys a warmer climate and a peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by forests, lakes and Himalayan peaks, Pokhara offers stunning mountain views, especially of Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna range. The city’s relaxed setting beside Phewa Lake makes it one of Nepal’s most popular destinations.

In the late afternoon, we enjoy a boat ride on Phewa Lake while taking in the surrounding scenery.

The evening is free to explore the lively Lakeside area, browse local shops and cafes, or prepare for the trek.

    Drive time: Approximately 6 hours

  • Day 3

Travel to Nayapul & Trek to Jhinu Danda

After breakfast, we drive to Nayapul, the starting point of our Annapurna Base Camp trek. The trail begins through terraced farmland, riverside paths and traditional mountain villages, offering a first glimpse into the landscapes and daily life of the Annapurna region. As we gradually ascend towards Jhinu Danda, the scenery changes from cultivated hillsides to lush forests and river valleys. Jhinu Danda is a peaceful hillside settlement surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery.

    Drive time: Approximately 1.5 hours

Trekking time: Approximately 3 hours (1760 m/5770 ft)

  • Day 4

    Trek to Bamboo

After breakfast, we continue trekking deeper into the Annapurna region. Today’s route follows forested trails alongside rivers and waterfalls, passing through bamboo groves and rhododendron forests. The trail includes a mix of gradual ascents and stone staircases while offering beautiful natural scenery throughout the day.

Bamboo is a small settlement surrounded by dense forest and steep mountain slopes, providing a peaceful overnight stop along the trekking route.

Trekking time: Approximately 5-6 hours (2310 m/7578 ft)

  • Day 5

    Trek to Deurali

This morning, we continue ascending through increasingly dramatic mountain landscapes. The trail passes through alpine forests, rocky terrain and narrow valleys carved by glacial rivers. As we gain altitude, the vegetation becomes more sparse and the mountain scenery grows more spectacular.

Deurali is a small mountain settlement located beneath towering cliffs and surrounded by impressive Himalayan scenery, offering a true high-mountain atmosphere.

Trekking time: Approximately 3-4 hours (3230 m/10,595 ft)

  • Day 6

    Trek to Annapurna Base Camp

Today is the highlight of the trek as we journey into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary. After breakfast, we trek towards Machhapuchhre Base Camp, surrounded by spectacular mountain views. The sacred peak of Machhapuchhre, also known as Fishtail Mountain, dominates the skyline with its striking double summit.

Continuing onwards, we reach Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 metres. The base camp sits within a natural amphitheatre of towering Himalayan peaks, creating one of the most dramatic mountain settings in Nepal. From the base camp, we enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and surrounding snow-covered peaks.

Trekking time: Approximately 5-6 hours (4130 m/13,545 ft)

  • Day 7

    Return Trek to Bamboo

After breakfast at Annapurna Base Camp, we begin our descent back through the Annapurna Sanctuary. The long descent to Bamboo takes us back into lower elevations with warmer temperatures and lush forest scenery.

    Trekking time: Approximately 7-8 hours

  • Day 8

    Trek to Jhinu Danda

Today we continue descending through forests, terraced hillsides and traditional villages towards Jhinu Danda. After reaching the village, there is time to relax in the nearby natural hot springs located beside the river. The warm mineral waters provide a perfect opportunity to unwind after several days of trekking.

Trekking time: Approximately 5-6 hours (1760 m/5770 ft)

  • Day 9
