After a walking tour of Zagreb, follow wooden paths through Plitvice Lakes National Park and visit Diocletian's Palace in Split. From Trogir, a small ship cruises to Bol's shape-shifting Zlatni Rat beach, the once-closed island of Vis, Hvar and Marco Polo's Korcula, then on to the salt lakes of Mljet National Park and an oyster tasting near Ston. After a cruise past Dubrovnik's city walls, the tour crosses borders for day trips to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro's Bay of Kotor, before ending back in Dubrovnik.

Croatia's most iconic beach shifts shape with the wind and waves. We continue to Vis, a former Yugoslav naval base that was closed to the public for decades, which helped it stay authentic. Depending on berths, we moor in Vis or Komiza, both near the remains of ancient Issa, Croatia's first urban centre. You are free to explore the waterfront, the Roman Thermal Baths or the City Museum before a late-afternoon winery tasting.

  • Day 6

Blue Cave and the Charm of Hvar

Vis/Komiza - Bisevo - Hvar. Early this morning, we cruise to Bisevo to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon, with entry at an additional cost. After lunch on board at the Pakleni Islands, we continue to jet-set Hvar, the longest and sunniest island in the Adriatic, famed for its lavender fields. In the afternoon, our guide leads a tour of the town's landmarks, including the Renaissance cathedral and Europe's oldest community theatre, founded in 1612. We then hike the zig-zag path to the fort above the harbour for views of the village and the Pakleni Islands. The evening is yours to enjoy Hvar's restaurants, bars and clubs.

Please note: The Blue Cave visit is weather dependent. Due to limited berths, the ship may moor in Stari Grad instead of Hvar.

  • Day 7

Sail to Korcula - Medieval Streets and Traditions

Hvar - Korcula. We leave early for Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo, stopping for lunch in a secluded bay. In the afternoon, our guide leads a walking tour of this walled town, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean.

This evening, you have the option of joining a Dalmatian dinner in a nearby village, with an insight into local history and traditional life.

Please note: Depending on availability, the ship docks in the town centre port, the port of Domince or the ferry port, 3 km away.

  • Day 8

    Discover Mljet National Park

Korcula - Mljet Island. In the morning, we head south to Mljet, where legend says Odysseus was held captive by the nymph Calypso.

Alternatively, you can rent a kayak, bicycle, scooter or convertible car and explore the island on your own.

  • Day 9

Sail to Slano and Explore Ston

Mljet - Slano - Ston - Slano. We sail to the peaceful fishing village of Slano, gateway to Ston, a once-fortified village famous for its oysters. After exploring Ston's vast medieval ramparts, we visit nearby Mali Ston to learn about oysters and enjoy a tasting.
