  • Day 2

    Seoul

This morning, you’ll jump on public transport to head to your first stop of the day, Gyeongbok Palace. At 10am, you’ll watch the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony, before you head to the hanbok rental store. You’ll have the option here of renting some traditional Korean clothing before you enter the palace. Take some time to explore the palace and grounds – it’s well worth the visit!

For lunch, your Adventure Leader is taking you to an amazing spot in the city – Bukchon Hanok Village. This village is filled with traditional Korean houses (hanoks), and you’ll have some time to explore the quaint streets before you head off. Next, you’re visiting Insadong. This area offers a slice of traditional Korean culture, and you’ve got some time to explore. You can visit antique shops, traditional tea houses, or head into the handcraft shops for some unique souvenirs.

Tonight, you’re heading to a Nanta show! This non-verbal comedy show uses music to tell a funny story about four chefs who are tasked with preparing a wedding banquet in an hour. After this, you’ll have some free time to explore Myeongdong by night.

  • Day 3

    Seoul

It's your day to take the reins and explore Seoul on your own! Don't worry if you're unsure where to start - just ask your Adventure Leader for some insider tips. Maybe you want to continue exploring Seoul's bustling city streets, or perhaps you're craving a more natural experience at Nami Island. Feeling adventurous? Why not try out Lotte World - a theme park that's sure to get your adrenaline pumping! Whatever you choose, make the most of your free day and create unforgettable memories.

  • Day 4

    Jeonju Hanok Village

Get ready for a thrilling adventure as you move to the next destination of your South Korea family tour – Jeonju! You'll experience the ultra-fast KTX high-speed train for the transfer, arriving in Jeonju by late morning. Your first stop will be the charming Hanok Village, where you'll drop your bags before heading to an exciting Bibimbap cooking class. Learn how to cook the famous mixed-rice dish with fresh ingredients in a city renowned for it.

Spend some time exploring the winding streets of the Hanok Village and uncover the hidden gems of this traditional area. There are plenty of shops, snacks, and cafes to discover, so be sure to find your favorites.

  • Day 5

    Gyeongju

Get ready to step back in time as you explore the historic city of Gyeongju on your South Korea family tour! After a comfortable express bus ride, drop your bags at the hotel and join your guide for a walking tour of the city center. You'll visit ancient tombs, a 300-year-old hanok, and even the oldest astronomical observatory in East Asia! Don't miss the chance to try some delicious Korean tea during a tasting. In the evening, savor a mouth-watering traditional Korean meal before heading to Donggung Palace for stunning night views of Anapji Pond.

  • Day 6

    Gyeongju & Golgulsa Temple

Get ready for a day of discovery and adventure on your South Korea family tour! Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring the beautiful city of Gyeongju at your own pace. Later in the afternoon, embark on a private shuttle bus to Golgulsa Temple, your accommodation for the night. Experience a unique opportunity to live like a monk and immerse yourself in traditional Korean Buddhist culture. Get ready to follow the temple's daily schedule, including an orientation complete with meditation, communal work, and sunmudo training. Savor a delicious vegetarian Buddhist dinner before retiring to bed in your tranquil temple surroundings.

  • Day 7

    Busan

Good morning! An early start awaits you, as you'll be waking up for a morning meditation and Buddhist chanting session. After that, you'll have a final traditional Buddhist breakfast in the temple this morning, and then it's time to take the KTX train to your final destination, Busan.

Upon arriving in Busan, head over to Gamcheon Village for a late morning visit. Here, you'll have some free time to explore the cultural area and grab some lunch. This afternoon, you're in for a treat as we take you to Songdo Beach, where you'll take the marine cable car for some spectacular views. After that, head to the Jagalchi Fish Market to see the fresh catch of the day and then make your way to the trendy BIFF Square area. Here, you can do some shopping and try the local delicacy, Busan-style hotteok.

Once you're ready, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a free evening in Busan.

  • Day 8

    Busan

Begin your morning by visiting the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, considered Korea's most beautiful temple. It's a rare sight to see a temple located along the coastline instead of in the mountains.

In the afternoon, take some time to relax on Gwangalli beach. You can choose to sunbathe on the sand or explore the many waterfront restaurants and cafes. For your last activity on the South Korea family tour, take a boat sightseeing tour of the Busan coast. Enjoy the beautiful scenery before returning for one final free evening in the city. Don't hesitate to ask your guide for recommendations!

  • We had the best trip to Korea! The pre-planning was great with Nicole and I was able to arrange an itinerary to visit everywhere I wanted to go. Our guide in Korea, Ellen, was so knowledgeable and she went above and beyond at every turn to help us. She helped me find where I previously lived when I was a child, she booked golf for my son and a nail treatment for my daughter, and she answered my many, many questions about the history, culture, and customs of Korea. The sights were fun, beautiful, and interesting while the food was delicious. I highly recommend Dragon Tours!
