Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Hong Kong!
Welcome to lively Hong Kong, it’s time to kick off your adventure! After dropping your bags at the hostel and meeting your Adventure Leader, hop on the Star Ferry and ride the tram up to Victoria Peak for a picture-perfect sunset over the skyline. Wander along the Avenue of Stars and strike a pose with Bruce Lee before ending the night at Temple Street Night Market. Eat, shop and soak up the atmosphere before heading back at your own pace.
Day 2
Let’s go to Yangshuo!
This morning, you’ll have your trip briefing with your Adventure Leader and group, then jump on the high-speed train from Hong Kong to Guilin and continue by private bus to Yangshuo. Settle into your new base and head out to explore this beautiful riverside town.
In the evening you can stroll the streets at your own pace or choose to join your group for your very first dinner together in China.
Day 3
Discover Yangshuo - Cook, Kayak, & Cupping Therapy
Start the day with an optional Chinese cooking class where you’ll chop, stir fry and feast on your own creations.
In the afternoon, paddle a kayak along a peaceful stretch of the Li River with dramatic karst peaks towering all around. Want to slow things down instead? Try a traditional hot cupping session, a centuries old therapy that melts away tension and leaves you recharged.
Day 4
Bamboo Rafting, Mud Baths, & Karaoke
Get ready to explore Yangshuo’s serene countryside! Hop on a bike and cycle through peaceful villages before floating down the Yulong River on a bamboo raft surrounded by mesmerising views.
In the afternoon, head to Moon Hill and a nearby cave complex where you can try out mud baths and hot springs – and yes, they’re just as fun as they sound!
As night falls, continue the adventure with a KTV karaoke session or hit the town with your travel crew.
Day 5
Yangshuo Your Way - Karst Cliffs or Countryside Village
This morning you can give rock climbing a go on Yangshuo’s famous karst cliffs – trust us, the views make the challenge totally worth it!
In the afternoon, switch things up with a visit to a nearby farming village, home to one of our Adventure Leaders. It’s a chance to soak up life in the countryside and embrace a truly wholesome day here.
Day 6
Chongqing Bound, Yangtze River Cruise & Hongya Cave
Say goodbye to your Adventure Leader in Yangshuo before making your way to Chongqing. Once you’ve checked in and dropped your bags, head straight to the water for a Yangtze River cruise. It’s the ultimate way of watching this mega city sparkle at night.
Back on land, step into Hongya Cave, a maze of lanterns, street food and glowing balconies overlooking the river. With so many tasty options on offer, it’s the ideal place to grab dinner before calling it a night.
Day 7
Chongqing Your Way - Liziba Station & Guanyinqiao Nightlife
Start the day with the option to visit Liziba Station and watch the monorail zoom straight through a residential building, a sight you’ll never forget. Then step into Chongqing’s incredible underground past with a wander through old air raid shelters before checking out the impressive People’s Great Hall.
In the afternoon, head to Chaotianmen Dock where the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers meet, then make your way up Eling Park for fresh air and sweeping city views.
As evening arrives, the Guanyinqiao Area is calling with busy streets full of food, bars and plenty of nightlife to round off the day.
Day 8
Chengdu Bound, People's Park & Kuanzhai Alley
Say goodbye to your Adventure Leader in Chongqing and hop on the train to Chengdu.
After checking in, meet your new Adventure Leader and head out for an optional wander through People’s Park before exploring the sights, sounds and street food of lively Kuanzhai Alley.
Day 9
Chengdu’s Pandas, Learn Mandarin & Optional Sichuan Opera
Today, Chengdu’s most famous residents take centre stage! Visit the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center, the world’s largest and most important home for these incredible animals. Watch them munch bamboo, tumble around their enclosures and, if you’re lucky, spot some playful babies too. Afterwards, join your Adventure Leader for a Mandarin lesson and pick up a few handy phrases for the rest of your trip.
In the evening, opt to catch a traditional Sichuan Opera and culture show, complete with face changing masks, fire breathing and music that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Day 10
Chengdu Your Way: Leshan Giant Buddha & Famous Hot Pot
If you’re up for an adventure, you can choose to take a day trip to Leshan to see the world’s largest stone Buddha, carved into the cliffs, gazing over the river. Back in Chengdu, you might want to turn up the heat with the city’s famous hot pot which is fiery, full of flavour and a true local favourite.
In the evening the city is yours, so you can grab your travel crew and see where the night takes you!
