Spain & Portugal Tours

Most of our Spain and Portugal tours span at least 14 days. After all, you're covering two major countries and each could easily command more than two weeks themselves.

We have a number of tours which start and end in Madrid, Southern Spain which of course makes getting to and from very easy. Other tours start and end in different locations.

Group sizes average at around 10 but to be sure you can make contact with our team and check the start date you're looking at.

The mix of the group can vary by tour and start date but as a general rule we find that gender mix is usually even and age range is typically from mid 20s to late 40s (although again, this can really vary by trip and start date).

On any given trip there are solo travellers who usually make up 50% of the group size.

Rooms are shared with two people to a room. If you're a couple or friends then you can share. If you're a solo traveller you'd be paired with someone of the same gender.

All of our Spain and Portugal tours are guided and the guides are there to not only ensure everyone is happy but to help with any problems.

If you're a solo traveller you're in the right place! On any given tour around 50% of the travellers are solo. Each tour is really designed with solo travellers in mind.

On day one you'll meet the group and who you'll be sharing a room with unless you've opted for your own room. The guide will help with introductions and ensure that the solo travellers have met one another.

For meals you'll have the choice of who to eat with, you're certainly not forced to eat with the group.

You'll be paired with someone of the same gender to share a room with. 99% of the time this is fine. If though it's not working out for you then you just need to let the guide know and a solution will be provided. The guides are there to help and expect the odd issue to come up now and again so don't worry!

The one thing to expect is that you're going to experience a holiday to remember. Although every tour is different there are some things we can be pretty sure about

- you're going to visit places you might not otherwise have done

- you're going to meet people and maybe make good friends along the way

- you'll have the opportunity to try out local food and drinks

- you'll have the chance to participate in experiences along the way

- you're going to visit a lot of places with a friendly and helpful guide

Often people may think that group tours are very structured and regimented but it's really not like that these days, these are 21st century tours!

If you're in Europe you'll easily be able to hop on low cost flights to and from your start and end point, maybe even use the trains too.

If you're outside of Europe then many tours start and end in major cities with international airports. Otherwise you can hop on a local low cost carrier when you arrive to take you to your starting city.
