Canada Rockies Tours & Adventures
What an adventure you're going to have when visiting the Canadian Rockies! There is just so much to see and do not to mention the diverse and incredible wildlife.
The vast majority of our tours and adventures begin and end in Vancouver and / or Calgary making arriving to and departing from Canada pretty easy as both are major cities with major airports.
The tour lengths vary but almost all will take in some light walking and trekking as well as visit national parks such as Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff, icefields Parkway, Wells Gray and much more.
Most tours are suitable for most people, there are a small number of tours with a max age of 35. You can easily filter the tours by age and other items using our filter section.
How do the tours work?
All tours follow the general same process which is on day one you'll arrive and meet your group, usually in the evening as well as your guide.
On day 2 your adventure begins and over the next few days you're going to have an unforgettable time and many amazing experiences.
On the final day the tour will end and at that point you're free to make you r way onward to your next point.
Are there family tours?
Yes. Please click here to see tours specifically designed for families but it is also worth mentioning that most tours have a minimum age of 12 and are suitable for teenage families.
I am a solo traveller
GREAT! You're in the right place. About 50% of our customers are solo travellers and on any given tour about 50% of the guests are solo travellers.
These small group tour adventures are a great way to travel as they're fun, sociable safe and you'll have a great time!
As a solo traveller you'll be paired with another solo traveller of the same gender to share a room with.
Your guide is there to make sure everything is OK and everyone is having a good time. If anything is on your mind or not working for you please mention to the guide and they will help with a solution. We must stress, it is very rare problems happen as the guides are all very experienced!
Will I see any wildlife?
Hopefully! Some of the adventures focus more on the wildlife than others so do check the details. Typical wildlife are Moose and Elk with plenty of birds especially, if you're lucky, Eagles.
More rare, and potetialy dangerous (but don't worry!!) are bears which can be black or grizzly, wolves, coyote, bison, mountain goats, beavers, porcupine and lots more!
When is the best time to visit?
The best time to explore the Canadian Rockies is typically between June to September although if you'd like to see the snowy peaks then spring or autumn are better although colder!
Wildlife is plentiful throughout the year apart from the winter months where temperatures can become very low.
Highlights of The Canadian Rockies
Jasper National Park
Maybe the most famous park of the Rockies. The guided tours will take you deep into the park to explore some trails, lakes and hopefully spot some wildlife. If you have a day off and wish to explore then maps will be available.
There are various trails from leisurely to challenging such as the 9km Path of the Glacier.
Banff & Banff National Park
Banff might be considered the capital of the Rockies:) A beautiful working town with plenty to do, see, eat and drink with a backdrop of epic mountains and peaks.
Walking in Banff national park is not to be missed. There are various trails of varying difficulty levels but there is something for every one.
Lake Louise
You may have already seen images of Lake Louise without knowing. It's maybe the most iconic picturesque lake in Canada due to the shimmering blue of the lake in certain lights. Surrounded by Canadian pines with a back drop of mountains it really is quite the place to visit and explore.
Icefields Parkway
Rated as one of the top drives in the world due to the beauty and epic nature of the area, linking Lake Louise to Lake Alberta Icefields is not to be missed.
