Please tell us a bit about yourself and how you got the job at Ecocamp in Patagonia

Originally from France, I started working here in 2014, so more than 5 years ago now, witnessing beauty every day! Not only beauty but the Ecocamp concept is really unique. I wanted to work somewhere that really cared about the environment and everything around it. Ecocamp does a really cool job and is unlike any other hotel in the world. It was founded in 2001 and was the first eco-dome hotel in the world. I work with Content Marketing here, with video and photography, which is my passion. Every day I spread the word about what we're doing here. Patagonia was always a special attraction for me and that's why I've been spending years here. It changes every day! We call it transformational travel, you won't be the same person when you leave as when you arrived.

What does adventure mean to you?

Anything that makes you step out of your comfort zone while teaching you something you didn't know before. Patagonia is always an adventure, the conditions forces you to step out of your comfort zone. Nature expresses itself in its most purest form . I think an important part of adventure is education, if everyone could come here I think the world would be a better place. Because it teaches you so much, and you step out of your comfort zone and about what truly matters. Also adventure should be accessible to all kinds of travellers, everyone on earth, because it's so important to experience adventure.

What has been your best adventure yet?

Without hesitation, I would say my best adventure yet was hiking the W trek in the heart of fall when we had some crazy weather! We had some snow and the winds were spectacular. Hiking for me in toughest conditions is the best adventure. You get so proud and the group is so happy. Afterwards, you just get this overwhelming feeling that you've shared some incredible with people you didn't even know days ago. And when you come back from the trek to Ecocamp you just value the warmth of the fire, the dinner and delicious cocktails so much more! The views too are just so rewarding. And the weather can change in an instant! Don't be worried if you can't see the towers at the beginning of the trek, it can change entirely. Patagonia is just full of surprises!

Where is your favourite place in Patagonia?

I can't really choose one favourite. I really love Northern Patagonia in Chile, Carretera Austral it's South America's wildest road. The landscapes are incredible. But of course my all time favourite is here where I live, in Torres del Paine National Park. The landscapes are very complex, perfect for photography. It's taught me so much! It offers incredible wildlife and stunning landscapes. Even if you have bad weather you enjoy it, there's something magical about the energy. My favourites are the glacial lakes, it's very hard to see in any other place.
