Itinerary
Day 1
Marrakech to Dades Valley
Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Skoura - Dades Valley. Once you have arrived in Marrakech, you will be met and transferred to the accommodation at the pickup point, one of our drivers will pick us up at 8 AM. We begin our three-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes.
After around one and a half hours, at the beginning of the Atlas Mountains, we stop in a Berber village. Here you have about twenty minutes of free time to walk around, see the village and take photographs. We then continue into the High Atlas Mountains, reaching an altitude of around 2,260 metres.
Next, we arrive at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, where we spend around two hours with a local guide. After the visit, we continue our desert tour driving beside the village of Skoura, located in the heart of the valley of the palm trees - an extensive and labyrinthine oasis whose lush vegetation hides many secret kasbahs.
We arrive in the Dades Valley in the evening and check into our accommodation, where we spend the first night with a Berber dinner and Berber music.
Day 2
Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert
Dades Valley -Todra Gorge - Merzouga. This morning, we continue along the banks of Boumalne, where a road marked by kasbahs and ksour opens before us. The landscape here is coloured in shades of ochre, red and mauve, and around us we see rocky plateaus where dromedaries graze.
After a journey through ksour, oases and palm trees, we reach Tinghir, perched at 1,350 metres and surrounded by a palm grove. This is also where the spectacular Todra Gorges are located.
We continue through Erfoud, known as the fossil city, before arriving in Merzouga. In Merzouga, we ride camels into the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi for about 1 hour 30 minutes. On the way to the camp, we stop in the dunes to watch the sunset. We spend the night in a desert camp.
Day 3
Merzouga to Fes
Merzouga -Ziz Valley - Azrou - Fes. We have an early start to enjoy the sunrise over the desert and take photographs in the dunes, one of the most beautiful moments in the Merzouga desert.
After a typical breakfast in our bivouac, we return by camel to the hostel to take a shower. We then begin the journey to Fes, passing through the beautiful Ziz Valley, Errachidia and Midelt.
We stop in the Cedar Forest to visit the famous wild monkeys.
We then continue our desert journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains before arriving in Fes in the evening, where you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Safe Travels!
