Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Welcome to Hanoi

Welcome to Hanoi, the oriental jewel of Indochina. Upon arrival, our driver will greet you at the airport and assist with your transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to explore at your leisure.

  • Day 2

    Ba Vi Eco Tour

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before being accompanied by our experienced English-speaking guide to the Hanoi countryside, a journey of approximately 90 minutes.

Upon arrival at Mr Duoc’s home, enjoy a warm welcome with fresh honey tea and homemade green lentils or lotus seeds. Mr Duoc, a war veteran and green tea expert, will share captivating stories of Vietnam's past. We will visit his extensive tea plantation, one of the largest in Ri village, and participate in green tea processing alongside the local community.

Following this, engage in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration with another local host and savour a delightful home-cooked lunch in a charming garden setting. Afterwards, you are free to explore the village, meeting locals and observing traditional craftsmanship. Witness a skilled artisan crafting conical hats and visit workshops where locals make tofu and shell rice.

As you wander the countryside, you will be greeted by friendly locals, and later, join our guides for a gentle cycling trip along the scenic rural roads. You'll have the opportunity to observe traditional Vietnamese rural life, including water buffalo ploughing fields and ducks swimming in the paddies.

The day concludes with a visit to a local host family for a relaxing foot bath, using traditional Muong recipes, before embarking on a private boat trip along the Da River.

  • Day 3

    Halong Bay Overnight Cruise

In the morning, we’ll check out from the hotel for a 7:30 am pick-up by the cruise. We journey across the Red River Delta, famed for its lush, emerald rice paddies, towards the stunning Halong Bay. On arrival, you’ll board a cruise to explore the bay's breathtaking limestone formations and karst grottoes.

Following our exploration, we’ll savour a sumptuous seafood lunch. Afterwards, we’ll visit a renowned limestone cave in Ha Long Bay, where you'll have the opportunity to kayak or swim, getting closer to the fascinating floating villages and local shops.

As evening approaches, we’ll return to the boat for an early dinner. Afterwards, you'll enjoy leisure time with optional activities available on board. Overnight on the cruise.
