    Arrive in Vietnam’s charming capital. A group transfer takes you from the airport to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax or explore. A welcome meeting will be held in the evening.

    Street Eats & Old Quarter Culture

    Discover Hanoi through a street food and market tour. Visit Chau Long Market, sample northern specialties, and sip strong Vietnamese coffee. Later, enjoy a traditional water puppet show and a cyclo ride around Hoan Kiem Lake.

  • Day 3

    Cruise Through Halong Bay

    After breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken by our car to another fascinating land – the gem in the north of Vietnam – Halong Bay. Visiting the bay, you will experience the magic of the wonderful wonder of the world.

    From the harbor, board our boat for a cruise among the numerous limestone karst rising from the emerald water. Make a stop en route to visit a grotto of spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. Meals will be served on the cruise. Overnight on the cruise.

    You are recommended to bring an overnight bag to keep your necessary luggage. We are afraid that there is not enough space to store all the luggage of every passenger on board. Moreover, after an overnight stay on board, you will turn back to the same hotel in Hanoi, so your remaining luggage will be sure to be kept safely.

    Tai Chi & Overnight Train

    Enjoy a Tai Chi session on the sundeck in the morning with a light breakfast of tea, coffee and pastries. After breakfast, enjoy your time to sunbathe and relax in the fascinating background of the bay. After brunch on board – around 11.30am, transfer back to Hanoi to check in and free until the overnight train departure time to Hue.

    Special information Sleeper trains typically have four berth compartments with bench seats that convert into sleeping bunks. A sheet, pillow and blanket are provided, although some travellers prefer to bring their own sleeping sheet. Passengers of different genders may sometimes be required to share a compartment and there will be occasions where you'll be sharing with local travellers or travellers who are not part of your group.

    Imperial Citadel & Cultural Immersion in Hue

    Arrive in Hue at around 10:00 am, then we will spend time visiting Imperial Citadel - The home of Vietnam's last royal dynasty, the Nguyen Dynasty (1802 - 1945).

    Back to the hotel with the rest of the day is at your leisure.

    Tonight, head into the home of a local family and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner. You’ll be chatting and laughing over your chopsticks in no time! Listen to the sharing from the local people: how their different generations live under the same roof, the traditions & customs from generations to generations.

    • Hue – Fine dining dinner on Perfume river In the late afternoon, you will be picked up to Nghinh Luong Dinh to enjoy Hueritage cruise which offers a culinary journey that treats the multi-sensory senses from taste to space and emotion.

    The journey starts from Nghinh Luong Dinh wharf, following the Perfume River downstream. The journey takes you through places associated with the cultural and historical depth of the ancient capital such as Kim Long village, Thuy Bieu village, Ho Quyen, Thien Mu pagoda and Van Thanh.

    You will enjoy dinner with contemporary cuisine with the flavor of the land of the Gods, ending with a performance of Ca Hue (Hue traditional music) on the river - bringing a culinary and cultural experience imbued with the ancient capital, amidst the quiet river space at night.

    Mausoleums & Markets

    After breakfast, start with an exploration of Tu Duc Mausoleum - the largest and the most luxurious tomb in Vietnam. Then, take a boat trip to Thien Mu pagoda - the oldest pagoda in Hue city, and enjoy the peace here.

    Have a short visit to Dong Ba Market to see the daily life of local people.

    Scenic Drive to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass

    This morning, we will depart by car for Hoi An via the scenic Hai Van Pass, where we enjoy the spectacular panorama of the central coastline from the summit.

    Take a walk around the ancient town. As the national trading center in the 16th century, Hoi An is home to the diversity of ancient streets and homes. Stroll around the unusual cobblestone streets to admire the hundred century old Chinese houses.

    The leisurely trip offers you a great chance to see the ancient houses built in Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures. There are some incredible places that you should not miss when visiting Hoi An including the hundred- year – old Japanese Bridge, the Phuc Kien Hall. You also have a chance to stop at a tailor-made shop to get your favorite clothes. Check in the hotel with the balance of the day is at leisure to discover the town on your own.

    Hoi An Your Way

You will be firstly escorted to a local market and explore the vibes of life and fresh markets, shop for the ingredients. Upon arrival, you be taken through a culinary journey with hands-on demonstrations and stories behind the yin and yang elements unveiling the secret of home-cooked Vietnamese meals. Enjoy the fruits of your success to appreciate the efforts and amazing skills as a farewell meal to your passionate and friendly chef.

    As twilight descends upon the ancient town of Hoi An, the streets begin to glow with the soft shimmer of countless lanterns. One of the most enchanting experiences you can have here is releasing a lantern onto the Thu Bon River—a tradition steeped in hope, peace, and good fortune.

    Each evening, especially during the monthly Lantern Festival, locals and travelers alike gather along the riverbanks. Enjoy a boat trip along the river and you can gently place it on the water and watch it drift away, you’re invited to make a wish—whether for love, luck, or a new beginning.

    Fly to Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels

    Free at your leisure until being transferred to Danang airport to take your short domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh.

    Once arrive, you will be transferred to visit one of the most important sites in Ho Chi Minh City, the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. These complex tunnels were used by the Viet Cong in the long war against the Americans and were instrumental to the Vietnamese victory. Be amazed by the ingenuity of these dangerous tunnels. Head to the city to check in the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

    The Mekong Delta Experience

    This morning head out on a day trip to explore the Mekong Delta. Board a private boat to Ben Tre to visit the coconut gardens and stop at a local home to sample tropical fruits and coconut jams. Afterwards, paddle in sampans (small rowing boats) past coconut trees along the Mekong Delta. Take a tuk-tuk tour around the villages and learn about rural life and the industry created around coconut products like coconut candies, coconut oil, coconut shell bowl, etc. Eat lunch at a restaurant in the heart of the Delta, sampling regional specialties such as the famous elephant ear fish. Cruise the major waterways to Ben Tre boat pier, then return by bus to Ho Chi Minh City. This evening, perhaps head out to sample some local specialties.

    Colonial Charm & War History

    This morning, discover the very popular War Remnants Museum, the one that gathers a comprehensive collection of the machinery, weapons, photographs and documentation of the Vietnam wars.

    Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral (being renovated), the historic Central Post Office. Then, back to the hotel after finishing the city tour or continue to discover the city yourself.

    This is a private small group tour, perfect for couples or families travelling together. You’ll travel with your own group (minimum 2 people), with local guides meeting you in each destination, so it's both personal and professionally supported.

    Yes. All hotels are 4-star properties chosen for comfort, safety, location, and amenities. They offer twin/double room configurations and can often provide interconnecting rooms or extra beds for families, upon request and subject to availability.
  • How much free time is included in the itinerary?

    The tour includes a thoughtful balance of guided experiences and free time. There are several afternoons and evenings at leisure in Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City, giving couples and families space to explore, relax, or dine on their own.
  • Is the itinerary suitable for travellers with mobility concerns?

    Most activities involve walking on uneven ground, stairs, and some boat rides, but there are no strenuous hikes. That said, this itinerary is not wheelchair accessible. Families with limited mobility should contact us for a custom plan.

    Yes! The itinerary can be tailored to your preferred travel dates and adapted slightly to suit your family’s interests, preferred pace, or to add extra nights in key destinations like Hoi An or Hanoi.
  • Are airport transfers included?

    Yes. Both arrival and departure transfers are included on a group basis, as long as flight details are shared with us at least 30 days in advance. Private transfers can also be arranged at additional cost if you're arriving separately.
  • Are meals included and suitable for children or dietary needs?

    The trip includes 12 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 1 dinner, often featuring local dishes. During hands-on cooking classes and family meals, dishes are mild and customisable. Vegetarian and most common dietary preferences can be accommodated with advance notice.
  • Do we need a visa and travel insurance?

    Most travellers will require a Vietnam e-visa, which is easy to apply for online. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your trip. Travel insurance is mandatory, and we strongly recommend it include health, cancellation, and baggage cover for all travellers, including children.
