    Antalya

Welcome to Antalya, Turkey! Upon your arrival, we will be ready to transfer you to your hotel. You can find information regarding the meeting place and time on the information boards at the hotel reception area. In the afternoon, we will embark on a brief exploration of Antalya, a vibrant coastal city with a population exceeding one million. Our tour includes Hadrian's Gate, the historic Ottoman district, and a breathtaking waterfall cascading directly into the sea. Dinner will be included. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.

  • Day 2

    Antalya

On our second day, we'll depart from the coastal charm of Antalya and head towards the fascinating ancient city of Aspendos. Renowned for its remarkably well-preserved Roman theatre, Aspendos offers a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient architecture. Our journey continues to the historic town of Side, where you'll have the opportunity to take in the majestic views of the Temple of Apollo set against the tranquil sea. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through Sides vibrant port and bustling streets, soaking up the local atmosphere.

As we travel through the captivating landscapes, we'll cross the Taurus Mountains, with their towering peaks rising to over 3,500 metres, often capped with snow throughout the year. We'll make a brief stop in Karaman to view its striking fortress from the outside, before pressing on towards the enigmatic region of Cappadocia, renowned for its unique geological features and historical richness. Dinner will be provided in Nigde, where we'll settle for the evening, ready for the adventures that lie ahead.

  • Day 3

    Day 3

On day three, we dedicate our time to exploring the captivating region of Cappadocia, celebrated for its extraordinary lunar landscapes and historical sites. Our day begins at the Gumusler Monastery, an intriguing 7th-century underground structure adorned with some of Turkey's finest Byzantine frescoes. We then venture to Kaymakli, where we'll explore the extensive underground city that once sheltered up to 30,000 inhabitants. Next, we visit Uchisar, a natural fortress that offers sweeping views of the surrounding area. After lunch, we'll immerse ourselves in the wonders of the Greme Valley, renowned for its open-air museum and remarkable rock-cut churches, with admission included. Our evening accommodation awaits in the town of Avanos, where dinner will also be provided.

  • Day 4

    Day 4

On our fourth day, we will explore the farther reaches of Cappadocia, beginning with a visit to the picturesque Ihlara Valley. Known for its cool waters and a landscape dotted with rock-cut churches and villages, the valley offers a unique glimpse into the area's historical architecture. As we continue, we will visit a 13th-century caravanserai, which served as a resting place for merchants and travellers along the ancient trade routes. Our journey today also takes us to Konya, where we will visit the Mevlana Mausoleum, the revered resting place of the mystic poet Rumi, and learn about the spiritual traditions of the Dervish order. Dinner is included, providing a delightful end to a day rich in cultural experiences. In the evening, we recommend attending a mesmerising dervish dance performance at the cultural centre, an optional event that promises to be a memorable highlight.

  • Day 5

    Konya

Today, we will take a picturesque journey through the scenic lake district, reaching the quaint town of Egridir, nestled alongside a vast lake. Known for its historic walls and mosques, Egridir offers a perfect spot to pause for lunch. Following a relaxing meal, our adventure continues to the remarkable site of Hierapolis-Pamukkale. Here, youll witness the incredible natural terraces of mineral-rich water, aptly named the Cotton Palace. Entry to this stunning location is included. Well conclude the day with dinner, reflecting on the day's beautiful landscapes and intriguing histories.

  • Day 6

    Day 6

Following this, we'll travel to Kusadasi, a bustling coastal town celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, thriving shops, and charming small castle. Dinner will be included.

Please note: During the busy season from May to October, accommodations may be arranged in Aydin instead of Kusadasi. In such cases, after visiting Ephesus, we'll pause in Kusadasi from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., offering a panoramic tour of the town before continuing to Aydin.

  • Day 7

    Day 7

Our adventure continues to Bodrum, a beautiful fortified city with Greek roots. Here, you have the opportunity to explore its formidable castle, wander the vibrant streets teeming with visitors, or discover the bustling marina. After enjoying lunch, we proceed to Marmaris, a lovely coastal destination famed for its castle, pier, and charming fountains. Dinner will be included. Please note, during the summer months, accommodation may be arranged in the nearby town of Mugla instead of Marmaris.

  • Day 8

    Marmaris

Today, we'll set off for the enchanting town of Dalyan, situated alongside a picturesque river. Here, we'll embark on a delightful boat trip to marvel at the ancient Lycian Rock Tombs, carved majestically into the cliffs.
