Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Stockholm
Welcome to Stockholm – the elegant capital of Sweden. Arrive in the city and make your own way to the hotel (private transfers can be pre-booked in advance). After check-in, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax or begin exploring this vibrant city at your own pace.
Day 2
Stockholm to Helsinki
Stockholm - Helsinki. This morning, we begin with a 4-hour guided sightseeing tour of Stockholm – an elegant and spacious city spread across 14 islands, connected by picturesque bridges and surrounded by shimmering waterways. We’ll discover its stately buildings, leafy parks and historic mansions that tell the story of its fascinating past.
In the afternoon, we board our overnight cruise to Helsinki. As we sail out of Stockholm, enjoy stunning views of the Baltic archipelago. On board, you’ll find plenty of entertainment and dining options to make your evening enjoyable.
Day 3
Helsinki
After breakfast, meet your tour escort and set off on a 3-hour sightseeing tour of Helsinki. Highlights include Senate Square, with its neoclassical architecture, and the bustling Market Square (Kauppatori), filled with colourful stalls of flowers and local produce.
We visit Helsinki Cathedral, an iconic 19th-century landmark crowned by a striking copper dome, and the extraordinary Temppeliaukio Church – carved directly into solid rock and renowned for its superb acoustics. The tour concludes with Uspenski Cathedral, a magnificent red-brick Orthodox church overlooking the harbour.
After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure to explore the Finnish capital further.
Day 4
Helsinki to Tallinn
Helsinki - Tallinn. After breakfast, transfer to the cruise terminal for your 2-hour crossing to Tallinn. Upon arrival and lunch, enjoy a 3-hour guided tour of the Estonian capital.
Tallinn’s beautifully preserved Old Town is divided into two distinct areas – Toompea Hill and the Lower Town. We explore its cobbled streets and medieval walls, visiting highlights such as Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Toompea Castle (home of the Estonian Parliament), the Town Hall Square, and St Olaf’s and Niguliste churches.
The remainder of the day is free to continue exploring at your own pace, sample local cuisine or shop for traditional crafts.
Day 5
Tallinn, Pärnu & Riga
Tallinn - Parnu - Riga. After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning in Tallinn before travelling by coach to Riga. En route, we stop briefly in Pärnu – a charming seaside resort known for its early 20th-century architecture and lovely beach promenade. You might like to try a local snack before continuing the journey into Latvia.
Day 6
Riga
After breakfast, join a 3-hour guided tour of Riga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its Art Nouveau architecture and medieval Old Town. We’ll explore the city’s main sights, including the Opera House, the Riga Castle, and the vast Central Market – built within former Zeppelin hangars.
During our walk through the cobbled streets, we see the Powder Tower, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Brotherhood of Blackheads, and the majestic Dome Cathedral, home to one of Europe’s finest organs with nearly 7,000 pipes.
The afternoon is free for you to discover more of Riga at your own pace or perhaps enjoy one of its many cafés and restaurants.
Day 7
Riga to Šiauliai & Vilnius
After breakfast, depart by coach for Vilnius. En route, we stop for a photo opportunity at Lithuania’s mysterious Hill of Crosses – an extraordinary pilgrimage site covered with thousands of crosses of all sizes and materials.
On arrival in Vilnius, enjoy a 3-hour guided tour of the Lithuanian capital. The Old Town, one of the largest in Europe, offers a fascinating mix of architectural styles reflecting Central European and Catholic influences. Highlights include Vilnius Cathedral and the beautifully ornate St Anne’s Church – a masterpiece of Gothic design.
Day 8
Vilnius
After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure in Vilnius. You might like to explore more of the Old Town, visit local museums, shop for Baltic amber or join an optional half-day excursion to Trakai Castle with lunch, or even a hot air balloon experience for a bird’s-eye view of the region.
Day 9
Vilnius
After breakfast, depending on your flight time, you may still have time to enjoy the city before departing. Make your own way to the airport (private transfers can be pre-booked in advance).
