Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Keflavík & Leisure Time in Reykjanes
Transfer by hotel shuttle from Keflavík Airport to the Park Inn in Keflavík. If time allows, you may wish to explore the town at your own pace and enjoy your first glimpse of Iceland’s rugged coastal scenery.
Day 2
Reykjanes Peninsula Tour with Geothermal & Coastal Highlights
Our adventure begins on the Reykjanes Peninsula - an ideal location to escape the crowds during the Solar Eclipse. Known for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, steaming geothermal areas, and warm Icelandic character, this region offers a striking introduction to the country’s natural beauty.
We visit a series of highlights across the peninsula, including the colourful geothermal area of Krýsuvík, the wave-carved lava pool at Brimketill, and the powerful Gunnuhver hot springs. We also stop at Brú milli heimsálfa - the Bridge Between Continents - where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Other highlights include Hvalsneskirkja Church and the historic Garðskagaviti Lighthouse on Iceland’s windswept coastline.
Day 3
West Iceland Waterfalls & Glacier Ice Tunnel Experience
Today we explore the spectacular landscapes of West Iceland. Our first stops are the beautiful Hraunfossar waterfalls, where crystal-clear streams flow through ancient lava fields into glacier-fed rivers below, and nearby Barnafoss - the “Children’s Falls” - a site steeped in Icelandic folklore.
The day concludes with an unforgettable journey into a man-made glacier ice tunnel. During this approximately 4-hour experience, we venture deep inside the glacier to discover the frozen world beneath the ice - a rare opportunity to explore one of Iceland’s most remarkable natural environments from within.
Day 4
Blue Lagoon Visit & Solar Eclipse Viewing Experience
Begin the day with a relaxing soak in the Blue Lagoon, surrounded by black lava fields and Iceland’s dramatic volcanic scenery. The warm, mineral-rich waters provide the perfect start to this special day.
Later, we head to a carefully selected coastal viewing location to witness the Solar Eclipse. Special eclipse glasses are provided for safe viewing as we experience this extraordinary celestial event together. Afterwards, celebrate the occasion with a sparkling toast back at the hotel before enjoying a delicious dinner buffet - a memorable conclusion to an unforgettable journey.
Day 5
