Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Hanoi
Your journey starts as you arrive in Hanoi, where you'll be greeted by your private driver holding a sign with your name. They will take you directly to your accommodation located in the vibrant centre of the city, conveniently close to the captivating Old Quarter. You can choose to unwind at the hotel after your flight or set out to explore the city on your own terms.
Day 2
Ba Vi Countryside Experience
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide in the lobby. We’ll head to Ba Vi, a picturesque countryside area on the outskirts of Hanoi. Our first stop is Ri Village, where you’ll be welcomed with a drink and snacks as you meet your host, Mr. Duoc, a Vietnam War veteran and tea-farm owner. He will share fascinating stories from his past while you enjoy your drink.
You’ll then visit his tea plantation to learn the art of selecting the finest tea leaves, vital for crafting Vietnam’s renowned beverage. Continue to his workshop to see the largely manual tea production process.
Next, we take a short drive to Moc Village to meet Mrs. Chin, your culinary guide, who will show you how to prepare traditional Vietnamese dishes. Savour the fruits of your labour with lunch in a charming tropical garden.
After lunch, enjoy a brief break before joining Mrs. Chin for a village tour. You’ll visit local families, discovering rural life and traditional crafts such as tofu, conical hat making, and more. A leisurely cycling trip through scenic paddy fields follows.
Conclude your rural experience with a relaxing foot soak in warm, herb-infused water, a traditional Muong ethnic minority remedy, perfect for soothing weary feet after your cycling adventure.
Finally, we’ll transfer you back to your accommodation in Hanoi for an overnight stay.
Day 3
Travel to Pu Luong & Admire Cham River from a Suspension Bridge
We'll collect you from your hotel in Hanoi to begin your Pu Luong Adventure. The journey will involve a four-hour drive along the Ho Chi Minh Trails (1B – National Highway), with a brief stop halfway for a short break. Travelling through a breathtaking mountain pass, we will enter Pu Luong Nature Reserve, offering panoramic views of the entire valley.
Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a tasty lunch at your accommodation before you have free time to explore the retreat, known for its stunning vistas and peaceful atmosphere.
We'll then transfer to a suspension bridge over the Cham River, where our walk begins through rice fields towards a remarkable area of water wheels. Here, we can observe how water is channeled from the river into bamboo aqueducts of various sizes.
At a local fisherman’s house, we’ll take a short rest to prepare for our rafting adventure. As we drift along the calm river, you’ll have the chance to enjoy the scenery while learning to paddle and steer traditional bamboo rafts. Once we reach the picturesque Tan Lap bridge, we'll disembark and transfer back to the Pu Luong.
Day 4
Trek to Kho Muong Village
Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a trek to Kho Muong village. This village, situated in a remote part of the Reserve, is home to approximately 65 families, with a population of over 300 White Thai people. The name “Kho Muong” translates to “Origin Village” and marks the site where settlers first made their home in the region around 300 years ago. The village offers stunning views of both the mountains and the valley.
Day 5
Take in the Last of Pu Luong & Return to Hanoi
Begin your day with an invigorating walk down into the stunning valley opposite the Retreat. We'll wander amidst the cascading rice terraces, offering spectacular views at every turn. As we trek through narrow paths enveloped in lush vegetation, a charming village gradually emerges at the foot of a majestic mountain—a perfect photo opportunity.
Later, we'll return to Hanoi to prepare for our next adventure.
Day 6
Cruise Ha Long Bay
In the morning, we check out of the hotel and are collected by the Cruise team. We journey through the stunning Red River Delta, where you'll see expansive emerald green rice fields, en route to Halong Bay.
On arrival at the pier, we board our cruise ship to admire the breathtaking views of limestone formations and karst grottoes. We enjoy a delectable seafood lunch, then head to the sundeck to explore the tranquil bay.
The cruise takes us to a secluded spot, ideal for kayaking or swimming, allowing a closer look at the remarkable karst grottoes. As evening approaches, we return to the boat for an early dinner, followed by leisure time. You may choose to participate in onboard activities or simply unwind.
Day 7
Visit a Limestone Cave & Return to Hanoi
Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over this natural wonder, followed by breakfast in the dining room. We then set off to explore a limestone cave, showcasing extraordinary stalagmites and stalactites.
After our cave adventure, return to the boat to check out and savour brunch as we cruise back to the harbour. You will then be transferred back to Hanoi, where you will spend the night.
Day 8

Enjoy a nutritious breakfast as we begin the final day of your Vietnamese adventure.
