Day 1
Paris
Welcome to the start of your adventure in Paris! Upon your arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel, allowing you some free time to unwind and begin your exploration of this enchanting city at your own pace. In the afternoon, please check the notice boards at the hotel reception for important information regarding the commencement of your tour. Get ready for an exciting journey ahead as you dive into the wonders of Paris. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2
Paris
We begin the day with a journey into the rich tapestry of French history at the splendid Palace of Versailles. As you explore, you'll marvel at the grandeur of its famous gardens and opulent architecture (please note that entry is not included in the tour). Following this, we head back to Paris and make our way to Montmartre, a delightful neighbourhood that exudes a bohemian charm. Known for its vibrant art scene, you�ll discover a captivating mix of artists, painters, and iconic cabarets.
Our day continues with a panoramic tour of Paris, led by a knowledgeable local guide. This immersive experience will unveil the city's majestic avenues and world-renowned landmarks, offering a comprehensive view of the city's grandeur. As we wrap up the day's activities, we'll return to the hotel. For those looking to extend their evening, there's an optional opportunity to enjoy a lively variety show, should you wish to indulge in more of Paris's enchanting allure.
Day 3
Paris
Today, we'll begin our adventure in the heart of Paris with a visit to the legendary Eiffel Tower. You will have the opportunity to ascend to the second floor of this iconic iron structure, with your ticket included for a seamless experience. Following this, we'll unwind with a leisurely cruise along the Seine, offering a unique vantage point of the city's renowned landmarks during the one-hour-and-fifteen-minute journey. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace, giving you the freedom to explore Paris further or relax as you wish. Please note that with potentially lengthy wait times at the Eiffel Tower, we might adjust the timing of our visit for your convenience, possibly even arranging it for Sunday if necessary.
Day 4
Paris
Today, we travel deep into the heart of France, venturing through the Bourgogne region, renowned for its breathtaking vineyards and exceptional wines. Our first stop is Beaune, a delightful town in Burgundy distinguished by its charming, flower-adorned streets, the historic hospice, and a fascinating wine museum. You'll have some free time to indulge in lunch and take a leisurely stroll around this picturesque locale. Afterwards, we continue to Lyon, formerly the capital of Roman Gaul, now elegantly perched on the banks of the Rh�ne River. Lyon's historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and we'll ascend by cable car to Notre-Dame de Fourvi�re, where we can savour an awe-inspiring view of the cityscape. The day winds down with some free time for you to explore Lyon at your pace. Please note, in certain circumstances, part of the group may make an overnight stop in Chamb�ry, a nearby city. Should this occur, we'll reach Chamb�ry by evening, providing an opportunity to wander through its medieval-style city centre, capital of the Savoy, enriched by a stunning historic centre and grand castle.
Day 5
Lyon
Today, we embark on our journey to Switzerland. Our first stop is Geneva, where we'll pass by the Palace of Nations, the European headquarters of the United Nations. You'll also have the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque English Garden, famous for its vibrant flower clock, and witness the impressive Jet d'Eau, Europe's tallest fountain.
Following lunch, we continue through Switzerland, traversing stunning routes by Lake Geneva and Lake Neuch�tel. As we drive through the Three Lakes region, you'll be captivated by the magnificent vineyards framed by the majestic mountains. In Neuch�tel, you'll have some time to explore the historic town centre, walk by the tranquil lake, or visit the beautiful 10th-century castle.
We'll conclude our day's journey in Zurich, arriving in the late afternoon. Please note that depending on the number of passengers travelling from Geneva to Zurich, this segment of the tour may be conducted by train, which would result in us not stopping in Neuch�tel.
Day 6
Zurich
Today, we delve into Zurich, the bustling heart of Switzerland known for its financial prowess and vibrant cultural scene. Recognised as having one of the highest qualities of life globally, Zurich offers a fascinating exploration of its blend of modernity and tradition. Our tour will begin in the city centre, guided by an expert who will introduce us to Zurich's notable landmarks and its role in the world of finance. Following this, we embark on a nearly two-hour cruise on the tranquil waters of Lake Zurich. As the boat meanders along the serene lake, we'll pause at several quaint villages. One highlight is Rapperswil, famed for its well-preserved medieval castle, where you'll have time to soak in the historical ambience. Our return journey to Zurich will be by train, offering a first-hand experience of the precision and punctuality synonymous with Swiss rail travel. Note that depending on the group size, transfers in and out of the city centre might utilise public transport. Enjoy the remaining free time to further explore Zurich at your leisure.
Day 7
Zurich
Today, we are set for a day filled with awe-inspiring mountain landscapes and crystal-clear lakes. Our first stop is in the picturesque region of Interlaken, known for its breathtaking scenery. We�ll take a pause in the charming village of Grindelwald to enjoy a warm cup of coffee, and then board a cable car for a journey up the mountain. At the top, a leisurely walk leads us to a suspended bridge, perfect for those seeking a bit of adventure and breathtaking views of the surrounding glaciers. We�ll savour lunch amidst the magnificent alpine backdrop, all included in our day�s experience. After descending, we proceed to Lucerne, a city often celebrated as one of Switzerland�s most delightful. You�ll have the opportunity to wander through its inviting streets and take in the enchanting atmosphere. The day concludes with our return journey to Zurich. If you desire further exploration, there is an optional full-day excursion available. This includes additional free time in Lucerne and a thrilling rotating cable car ride to the summit of Mount Titlis, offering unparalleled vistas at over 3,000 metres above sea level.
Day 8
Zurich
After breakfast on our final day, our journey concludes in Zurich. You'll take away with you wonderful memories of an unforgettable adventure.
