Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Tarangire National Park Safari

Arusha - Tarangire National Park. Arrive in Arusha or Moshi the day prior to the start of the tour. You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning. We will then depart for Tarangire National Park, driving through the open landscapes of northern Tanzania as the scenery gradually shifts into classic safari country.

Tarangire is renowned for its impressive elephant herds, which are often seen moving between the riverbanks and the surrounding plains. The park’s striking baobab trees add to its distinctive character, while migratory wildebeest, zebra and buffalo are frequently spotted as they travel in search of water.

We spend the afternoon on a game drive, taking time to observe wildlife as it unfolds around us. We will enjoy a picnic lunch along the way, allowing us to stay immersed in the natural setting while continuing our exploration of this remarkable national park.

  • Day 2

    Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro Crater. This morning, we drive down the 600-metre-high walls of the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into one of Africa’s most remarkable natural settings. As we make our way into the crater, we are surrounded by high-altitude rainforest, with sweeping views across the rim creating a dramatic sense of arrival.

The Ngorongoro Crater forms a unique conservation area, where wildlife thrives within its natural boundaries. We explore the crater floor, home to an extraordinary concentration of animals, including lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo, all living within this protected environment. We then make our way back to our campsite to spend the night.

  • Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park and Departure

Ngorongoro Crater -Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha/Moshi. After our final breakfast, we head to Lake Manyara National Park, set within the dramatic landscape of the Great Rift Valley. This compact yet diverse park is well known for its tree-climbing lions, often seen resting in the branches of acacia trees.

Lake Manyara is also a haven for birdlife, with a remarkable variety of species found along the lakeshore and forested areas. We may see pink flamingos gathered along the water’s edge, along with many of the more than 400 bird species recorded in the park.
