    Sliema

After breakfast, we set off on a guided sightseeing tour of Valletta, Malta’s capital. Our walk through the city’s historic streets leads first to the Upper Barrakka Gardens, where you can take in panoramic views across the Grand Harbour and towards the Three Cities – Senglea, Vittoriosa and Kalkara. We then visit St John’s Co-Cathedral, renowned for its impressive Baroque architecture and rich history. After some free time for lunch, we continue to the Mosta Basilica, one of Europe’s largest domed churches, which famously survived a direct bomb hit during the Second World War. Next, we explore Ta’ Qali Crafts Village, where you can browse local crafts such as lace, gold, silver and glassware. Our final stop is the medieval walled city of Mdina, known as the Silent City. Here, we visit St Paul’s Cathedral and stroll through the narrow, shaded lanes. You’ll have some free time in Mdina for a snack or coffee before we return to the hotel. Overnight in Sliema.
