Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Marrakech

    Arriving in the vibrant city of Marrakech, you'll be warmly welcomed to the enchanting land of Morocco. After your transfer to the hotel, prepare for an afternoon of authentic local culture as we take you on a leisurely ride in a traditional horse-drawn carriage. This delightful journey will lead you to the bustling and iconic Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where the lively atmosphere is sure to energise and fascinate. Your evening will continue with an included dinner, setting the perfect tone for your Moroccan adventure. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.

  • Day 2

    Marrakech

    Today, we will delve into the enchanting city of Marrakech, a place that has lent its name to Morocco itself. Our guided tour begins with a wander through the impressive city walls before immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. We will explore the bustling Medina and visit the stunning Koutoubia Mosque, a striking example of Islamic architecture with its iconic minaret towering over the city. A highlight of our tour is the Bahia Palace, where you can marvel at its exquisite decorations and lush gardens�entry tickets are included. Afterwards, you'll have time at your leisure for lunch, followed by relaxation by the hotel pool or garden, or perhaps some shopping in the traditional souks. In the evening, you may opt to participate in the Fantasy Party, an optional excursion for those seeking an exhilarating experience.

  • Day 3

    Marrakech

    Today, we embark on a journey through the stunning landscapes of Morocco, crossing the dramatic Atlas Mountains. As we ascend, snow-capped peaks provide a striking backdrop to the verdant palm groves of Marrakech. You�ll observe traditional Berber villages nestled in the rugged terrain, each clinging to the edges of deep gorges. Our adventure includes a visit to Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village celebrated for featuring in numerous films due to its majestic, ancient architecture. Continuing onwards, we pause in Ouarzazate, famous for its awe-inspiring Kasbah. As we traverse the Valley of Roses, our day concludes in Boumalne Dades, where dinner is included. Please note, in winter months, weather conditions such as snowdrifts may affect road accessibility and necessitate changes in our itinerary. Access to the Sahara Desert is also dependent on these circumstances.

  • Day 4

    Boumalne Dades

    Set off on an invigorating journey through the captivating Sahara Desert as we traverse the Valley of the Kasbahs, passing through landscapes of river valleys nestled with thousands of palm trees and rocky plains giving way to verdant oases and traditional adobe villages. This route, watched over by ancient fortresses, offers a glimpse into a world where time moves differently. Our day includes a visit to the stunning Todgha Gorge, a dramatic canyon with towering walls that rise over 100 metres on either side. As we continue, we�ll make a stop in a small adobe town near Khorbat, where you have the chance to learn about the local desert community. Conditions such as river flooding may affect access, so we'll adapt as necessary. Our journey progresses towards Erfoud, where those interested can opt for an adventurous off-road excursion to the Sahara Desert sand dunes, an experience culminating in a magnificent sunset. Lunch is included today, providing a delightful break during your desert adventure.

  • Day 5

    Erfoud

    We will embark on our journey from Erfoud bright and early, venturing once more across the sweeping Atlas Mountains. As we traverse through spectacular gorges and awe-inspiring landscapes, the air may turn brisk as we cross a high plateau, home to the nomadic shepherds of the region. Our expedition will include a brief pause in Midelt, a vibrant commercial hub noted for its agricultural output. We shall then proceed with a stop for lunch in the serene Middle Atlas, set by a picturesque lake offering an idyllic natural backdrop.

    The scenery will shift dramatically as we head into a forest-rich region, where snow often graces the winter months. Near Azrou, we'll visit the "House of Cedars" in a national park � this small museum offers fascinating insights into the local environment. Here, you'll also have the opportunity to spot cheeky colonies of monkeys making the park their home.

    Our journey continues to Bhalil, a quaint, tranquil town nestled in the Middle Atlas, distinguished by its vibrant, colourful streets. This old gem is renowned for its traditional cave dwellings, which have since been ingeniously incorporated into the architecture of the community's homes. We then proceed to Fez, where before arriving at our hotel, we'll take in the panoramic views of the ancient city from the famed Marinid Tombs. Dinner will be included.

  • Day 6

    Fez

    Today, we will delve into the captivating city of Fez, beginning our exploration at the magnificent Bronze Gates of the Royal Palace. Our tour will immerse us in the diverse Jewish quarter and the vibrant Tanners' Quarter, as well as the bustling souks. Known as the cultural heart of Morocco, Fez boasts a Medina that wonderfully preserves the rich, traditional Arab heritage. We will round off our tour with a delightful lunch at a historic palace within the Medina. Afterward, we'll set off on a northern journey along modern highways, arriving in Tangier by the evening. Dinner will be provided, completing another enriching day of discovery.

  • Day 7

    Tangier

    Enjoy some leisure time in Tangier today � perhaps a spot of last-minute shopping to pick up unique treasures. Later, we�ll embark on a scenic ferry journey back to Spain. As the bus will not be with us on the ferry, please remember to carry your luggage onboard. We�ll disembark in Algeciras or Tarifa and continue by road to Seville. Anticipate a warm welcome with dinner included upon our evening arrival in this vibrant city.

  • Day 8

    Seville

    On Day Eight, we'll embark on a captivating exploration of Seville. Our tour begins with a visit to the majestic Seville Cathedral, renowned for its iconic Giralda bell tower. We'll stroll along the historic banks of the Guadalquivir River, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the city as we explore the charming neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana. Following our tour, you can unwind with a peaceful boat ride on the Guadalquivir, providing stunning panoramic views of Seville's cityscape. Come evening, you have the option to experience the soul-stirring music and dance of flamenco at a lively tablao, a truly unforgettable cultural treat.

  • Day 9

    Seville

    Departing Seville, we journey through the scenic rolling hills and lush pasturelands of Extremadura. Our first stop is M�rida, home to the Archaeological Ensemble of M�rida. You�ll explore its remarkably preserved Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, both celebrated World Heritage Sites. There's time to enjoy lunch and wander around the lively pedestrianised historic centre, which is full of restaurants and local charm. Our travels then take us into Portugal, stopping in �vora. Known for its dazzling whitewashed streets, Renaissance palaces, and cathedral, this town is also a World Heritage Site. We will arrive in Lisbon later in the evening.

  • Day 10

    Lisbon

    Start your day in Lisbon, the captivating capital of Portugal known for its seven hills. We'll begin with a guided tour through Lisbon's meandering alleys, where colourful tiled facades and the unique Atlantic light embody the city's charm and the wistful feeling of "saudade". A visit to the historic Belem neighbourhood is included, paying homage to the Portuguese explorers who embarked on oceanic expeditions from here in the 15th century. The afternoon is yours to explore�take a leisurely stroll to Bairro Alto for its stunning viewpoints or perhaps embark on an optional excursion to the nearby towns of Sintra, Cascais, or Estoril. As the day winds down, return to the hotel after enjoying the lively atmosphere at Restauradores Square, adorned with inviting cafes and bars.

    Lisbon

    After enjoying breakfast, our journey concludes, but you'll depart with unforgettable memories of your time with us.
