Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Athens

    Welcome to your tour of Athens! Upon arrival, we�ll take you to your hotel, where you can unwind and take advantage of some leisure time. During the afternoon, you'll find key information about the start of your tour conveniently displayed on boards at the hotel reception. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.

  • Day 2

    Athens

    In Athens, we will embark on a captivating city tour guided by a knowledgeable local. Our itinerary includes visits to notable landmarks such as the Presidential Mansion and the Panathenaic Stadium, the latter being the site of the inaugural modern Olympic Games. We will also explore the architectural grandeur of the National Library and the vibrant city centre squares. Additionally, we will wander through the newer neighbourhoods that flourished following the 2004 Olympic Games. Our tour culminates at the Acropolis, a symbol of ancient Greece, though please note that admission is not included. In the evening, we offer a transfer to the historical Plaka district. Here, you can indulge in dining at traditional Greek tavernas and experience the rich folklore that characterises this fascinating city.

  • Day 3

    Athens

    On the third day, we'll make an early start to our journey through northern Greece. Our first stop will be at the charming seaside town of Kamena Vourla, known for its beautiful landscape and inviting atmosphere. Continuing north, we'll visit the historic Thermopylae Mountain Pass, where you can stand in a spot famous for its ancient battle. Our travels will then take us to Kastraki, a picturesque village with stunning valley views. Here, you'll have free time to enjoy lunch at your own pace. In the afternoon, we'll explore the awe-inspiring Meteora, a breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring towering rock formations topped with centuries-old monasteries. Admission to one of these remarkable monasteries is included. Our day concludes with dinner provided in Kalabaka.

  • Day 4

    Kalambaka

    Today, we travel south through the picturesque landscapes of the Thessaly region, heading to the renowned archaeological site of Delphi, perched high above the Gulf of Corinth. Here, we immerse ourselves in history and take in the sweeping views before enjoying some time for lunch. Our journey then takes us to Hosios Loukas Monastery, famed for its stunning 11th-century Byzantine mosaics and recognised as a World Heritage Site. As afternoon turns to evening, we continue onwards to Athens, arriving in time to reflect on the day's discoveries. As our tour concludes, we hope you've gathered memories to treasure.
