Itinerary
Day 1
Rome
Welcome to Rome! Upon your arrival, we'll greet you and arrange your transfer to the hotel. Later on, our guide will meet you to provide all the necessary information for your stay. You can also find useful details on the information sign in the hotel reception area. In the evening, we will introduce you to the delights of Rome with a trip to Via Cavour, where you'll discover a selection of restaurants offering Italian, Indian, Chinese, and other international cuisines. Enjoy your first taste of this vibrant city at your own pace. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2
Rome
In the morning, we embark on a three-hour guided exploration of Rome, delving into the heart of one of the world's most historically rich and impactful cities. We'll begin our journey with a blend of walking through Imperial Rome and a panoramic bus tour, highlighting remarkable attractions such as the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, the grand Basilica of Saint Mary Major, Pyramid of Cestius, and the historic Castel Sant�Angelo. Our tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., where your guide will present an optional outing to the Vatican Museums and the renowned Sistine Chapel for those keen on further exploration.
In the evening, we will transport you to the lively Trastevere neighbourhood. Known for its warm ambience and bustling dining scene, it provides the perfect setting for a delightful meal at one of its many charming restaurants. Return to your hotel is scheduled for around 8:30 p.m.
Day 3
Rome
Today, we depart from Rome, heading north through picturesque scenery until we reach Florence. Our first stop is Piazzale Michelangelo, where you'll be treated to stunning views of the cityscape below. From there, we'll take a leisurely walk towards the historic centre of Florence. After a break for lunch, a local expert will guide us on a walking tour through the heart of the city, where we'll visit iconic sites including the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. The historic centre of Florence is akin to an open-air museum, offering a glimpse into the city's rich cultural heritage. Afterwards, you'll have free time to further explore at your own pace. In the evening, the surrounding district offers a variety of dining options, allowing you to savour international cuisines at your leisure.
Day 4
Florence
Today, we journey across the picturesque Apennines, taking in the stunning mountain scenery before arriving in Venice. Once there, we�ll enjoy a boat ride across the Giudecca Canal to reach the enchanting Island of Venice. With a local guide, we'll visit the renowned St. Mark's Square, an iconic location steeped in history. Afterwards, we'll explore the Murano Glass Factory, where you'll witness the intricate craftsmanship behind this traditional glass-making technique. You'll have some leisure time to discover Venice on your own before we settle for the night in the Mestre district.
Day 5
Venice
Our adventure continues as we depart Venice and journey towards Austria. Upon arriving in Innsbruck, you'll have some free time to explore the charming historic centre and enjoy lunch amidst the picturesque surroundings. Afterward, we'll continue our drive through the stunning Tyrolean landscapes, crossing the border into Switzerland before reaching Zurich. The day's travel will offer a delightful blend of cultural exploration and scenic views, making it a memorable leg of our trip.
Day 6
Zurich
Today, we embark on a journey through some of the most breathtaking landscapes Switzerland has to offer, with towering mountains and crystal-clear lakes setting the scene. We start our day in the Interlaken region, a postcard-perfect area renowned for its inspiring views. Our first stop is the picturesque village of Grindelwald, where you'll have some time to enjoy a coffee before we ascend the mountain by cable car.
You'll have the opportunity to walk along a meandering path leading to a suspended bridge, offering adventurous travellers the chance to witness panoramic vistas of the surrounding glaciers. Afterwards, we'll enjoy lunch with the majestic mountains as our backdrop.
Next, we head to Lucerne, often hailed as one of Switzerland's most charming cities. You can spend some time exploring this delightful cityscape, with its historic architecture and welcoming atmosphere. Later, we return to Zurich, where you'll have the evening at your leisure.
For those looking to enhance their experience, our guide will propose an optional excursion�a thrilling full-day journey to the summit of Mount Titlis. After some free time in Lucerne, you'll have the chance to take a rotating cable car to the impressive alpine peak, standing over 3,000 metres high. The summit presents you with unforgettable views of glaciers and the majestic Alps.
Day 7
Zurich
We set off from Zurich in the early morning, embarking on a scenic journey as we cross the Alps into the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our first destination is Bellinzona, a city famed for its trio of medieval castles, which stand proudly as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These historic fortresses perched upon the hills are a testament to Bellinzona's past as a pivotal alpine stronghold. You�ll have some time to explore the quaint streets of the city centre at your leisure.
We then continue into Italy, stopping in the picturesque town of Como for lunch. Often considered the crown jewel of the Lombardy region, Como is celebrated for its exquisite lakeside gardens and its awe-inspiring cathedral. After our visit, we'll proceed to Milan, where our guide will introduce you to the remarkable Piazza del Duomo. You�ll have some time to explore this vibrant area before we escort you to your hotel, marking the end of another intriguing day of discovery.
Day 8
Milan
Our adventure today takes us to the remarkable city of Pisa. We�ll board a quaint tourist train for a short journey to the Piazza dei Miracoli, a site renowned for its stunning artistic ensemble, including the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. You�ll have the opportunity to roam freely and marvel at this architectural wonder, capturing unforgettable moments. Later, we will set off towards Rome, where we will arrive in the afternoon. As our tour concludes, we hope you're taking away cherished memories from a truly captivating journey.
