Journey north to Florence, where an open-air museum awaits your exploration, then catch breathtaking views over the quaint canals of Venice. Cross picturesque Tyrolean landscapes into Austria before heading into Switzerland. Breathtaking mountain vistas and serene lakes await in the Interlaken region, with a highlight of riding a cable car up the mountain. Expect to be amazed by charming cities, scenic beauty, and a variety of cultural delights throughout.
Itinerary
Day 1
Rome
Welcome to Rome! Upon your arrival, we will transfer you directly to your hotel, ensuring a seamless start to your Roman adventure. Later, our guide will meet you to share essential information about your stay. You can also find details on the hotel's information board located in the reception area. In the evening, we welcome you to join us for an outing to Via Cavour � an ideal introduction to this vibrant city. Here, you'll discover an array of restaurants offering Italian, Indian, Chinese, and international cuisine, providing the perfect setting to settle into the Italian way of life. Enjoy your first evening in Rome with delicious food and the city's charming atmosphere. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2
Rome
We begin our second day in the magnificent city of Rome with a comprehensive three-hour guided tour. This experience beautifully combines a stroll through the heart of Imperial Rome with a scenic bus ride, providing a glimpse into one of the most influential cities in Western civilisation. Our exploration will lead us to remarkable sites such as the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the legendary Colosseum, and the Imperial Forums. We continue to marvel at the historical splendour of the Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant'Angelo. The tour gracefully concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m.
For those interested, there will be an optional visit to delve into the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, offering a deeper understanding of their grandeur.
In the evening, our journey continues as we provide a transfer to Trastevere, a vibrant district known for its inviting restaurants and bustling atmosphere, perfect for an evening of dining and exploring. We�ll return to our hotel at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Day 3
Rome
We depart from Rome today, making our way north through picturesque landscapes to reach the artistic capital of Florence. Our first stop is the beautiful Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can enjoy sweeping views of the city. Following this, we head to Florence's historic centre, where a local expert will guide us on a fascinating walking tour. You'll discover celebrated sites such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. After some time to enjoy lunch, you'll have the afternoon to roam the city's open-air museum-like streets at your leisure. As evening falls, Florence offers a delightful array of restaurants, all ready to tempt your taste buds with diverse international cuisine.
Day 4
Florence
Today, we will travel through the scenic Apennine Mountains, heading towards the enchanting city of Venice. Upon arrival, we'll board a boat to cross the Giudecca Canal, leading us to the heart of Venice. Here, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, we will explore the beautiful St. Mark�s Square. Following this, we'll take a fascinating tour of the Murano Glass Factory, where you can witness the remarkable craftsmanship involved in traditional glassmaking. The afternoon is yours to wander and discover Venice at your own pace. In the evening, we'll retreat to our accommodation situated in the Mestre district, providing a comfortable base for the night.
Day 5
Venice
Leaving Venice behind, we'll journey to Austria. Once we arrive in Innsbruck, you'll have the opportunity to wander through the charming historic centre and savour a leisurely lunch. Our travels then continue through the stunning Tyrolean landscapes as we head into Switzerland, with Zurich as our destination by day's end.
Day 6
Zurich
Today's adventure in Switzerland promises breathtaking landscapes, as we journey through majestic mountains and serene lakes. We head towards the picturesque Interlaken region, with our first stop at the charming village of Grindelwald. Here, we'll pause for a coffee break before taking the cable car to ascend the mountain. At the top, a walk along a scenic path brings us to a suspended bridge � an exhilarating crossing offering spectacular views of the surrounding glaciers for those daring enough. After enjoying lunch on the mountain, we make our way back down to continue our journey.
Next, we visit Lucerne, renowned as one of Switzerland's most beautiful cities, where you'll have time to explore the enchanting cityscape. Later, we return to Zurich. For those interested, the guide will propose an optional full-day excursion, beginning in the morning and culminating in Lucerne. This includes taking a rotating cable car to Mount Titlis, which stands over 3,000 metres above sea level and promises stunning vistas of the glacier and the Alps.
Day 7
Zurich
After breakfast, our journey concludes, leaving you with cherished memories of your time with us.
